The shows dont sell out till like day off as like it did for the North ATL trade center and when he was at the tabernacle they didnt sell out till like 2 weeks before the event.

If it's as packed as it was when I saw Armin there I dunno... it was excruciatingly crowded and I can only imagine Tiesto being worse. :nervous:

Hahaha, it's MAGIKAL. I just remembered at Ultra I saw some dude with a huge Tiesto logo tattooed all across his back... it was terrible. His set at Ultra was also just as awful but the girl I was with wanted to see it so I was inclined to at least stay for a part of it. He opened with Dance 4 Life and I nearly vomited all over myself.

07, don't do it! You sound knowledgeable and a credible member of the scene. Don't give into the temptations of this pop culture, bubble gum, 18 and up !

I'd like to see Tiesto again though.... just not at Opera.

Well, thank you. I'd like to think myself a credible member of the scene. I know many may disagree with my tastes, as I do still enjoy Armin and Tiesto. His show at the trade center last year didn't blow me away, but he still seems to come out with some pretty good stuff. I'm still hopeful this will be a good show. I just know it's going to be insanely crowded, and that may take away from the fun. But on the other hand, I think the more intimate atmosphere will be cool.

Tiesto is such a tool. Corporate sponsorship for a fuking DJ tour? Not to mention, that now you buy tickets through his website and there's a $4.50 surcharge that he's making money off of too.

I can't believe that you people still pay to go to his shows when you all know that he's only trying to milk you for every penny that he can. The only forward thinking strategy that Tiesto employs anymore is finding new and creative ways to generate personal revenue streams.

Next thing to come will be a Madonna like, liive nation deal worth 1267473247 million dollars for a one stop shop for his CDs, Tours, and Merchandise... :whip:

You should see his artist contract :stongue:

corporate sponsorship has been going on for years with just about every artist out there. Its nothing new.

As for tickets, its not his ticket company, its a company called Trinity street who has been in the biz for a LONG time. Plus we will be selling some tickets on wantickets as well.

For DJ tours? Maybe i've been blind for the last 8 or 9 years, but I don't recall hearing of corporate sponsors sponsoring many DJ tours. I know they've been sponsoring major artist concert tours for decades now.... That's nothing new. But I honestly have little to no memory of DJ tour sponsorship.

So, with the tickets, are you saying that Tiesto is not getting a piece of that surcharge now as well? Or they're just piggybacking his website because he's a nice guy and wants to help people out with convenience :haha:

Sony Playstation dual play tour w/ Ferry & Rap and Donald Glaude & DJ Dan & one other that slips my mind. Scion has been sponsoring dj tours for a couple of years now, Camel has been sponsoring dj tours for almost 7 years now. Sasha & Digweed Delta Heavy tour had a few corporate sponsors behind them. Bacardi has been sponsoring dj tours for almost 10 years now. Red Bull has also been sponsoring dj tours in the states for at least 5 years, they were a sponsor for one of our Carl Cox shows. There was also the Area:One tour sponsored by Ford and If i am correct Ford also sponsored the Area Two tour. The list goes on and on.

I haven't really liked what he's been playing in his sets for a while now, but still, I would like to see him. He was the DJ that got me into the more obvious trance. But Monday is a weird night to do it. Still, I'll try to go.

So THAT'S why I would get free like lighters, smokes, lip balm, condoms and be randomly solicited for surveys during shows...

I must have had tunnel vision all those years.

Does that mean you'll be handing out Armani clothes during the show?

Viva le' Tiesto!
