I tried so hard to carry a conversation about electronic msuic with this kid but jesus... The real kicker was when he went, "Have you heard Castles in teh Sky by Paul Oakenfold? Its so cool man!" and procedes to play that track... followed by DJ Sammy - Heaven. Good GOD it was so painful!!!! I swear, it was like a power drill in my eardrums hearing him play euro--cheese-poop techno over and over thru youtube...
Anyone else had a similar discussion with a person with shall we say.. far less evolved tastes in electronica than yourself? I was trying so hard not to be rude lol. Finally he walked away... its hard to carry a conversation with someone as deaf as myself LOL. |
Don't worry. Just delve a little more into EDM, and as your musical taste evolves you'll soon realize that the stuff you currently like is utter , while DJ Sammy and Cascada produce music that is a lot more refined and sophisticated. Just try to improve your taste and there won't be a need for such a discussion. |

I then say something like that. :clown:
It's difficult to really describe it to people so i no longer bother. :toothless |

LOL!!! OMG thats funny. But now its not funny...
Glad I can't hear for ... that gets me out of a lot of bad situations. Fat chick at a bar? "Sorry, an 80mm mortar exploded by my head, WHAT DID YOU SAY???" It works. In this case, I really couldn't hear a word this guy was saying I kept going, "say again?" and he finally left.
In retrospect, I don't think that continuing to blast loud bass into my ears thru my sony headphones is a good idea... maybe I shuld invest in those DJ ear filter thingies? Save what little hearing I got left?
Hmm yeah... GOD I am so bored I am in agony at the moment... |

A. Politely stare back, perhaps with a bit of doubt in your eyes, and only respond with a pensive "uh huh" to anything he says.
