live in San Diego, and I don't know much about the abundance of community college in other cities, but we have 4 major community colleges with quick transfer programs to UCSD/SDSU. And then there about 20 "other" small colleges for jews and christians or black guys, etc if that's your thing.
that's san diego |

Ya i researched a lil about San Diego plus i visited there last year. I love it there. I was prolly thinking just going to San Diego City College and I heard about the school system there and there fast transfer programs or whatever. So far san diego seems like a good choice but i am def still reading about all the different areas. What 4 major comm colleges are you talking about? I dont know much right now. I have just been researching the city colleges. |

I am deff down for lots of EDM events lol. Whats the weather like in Sacramento. Im sick of the constant rain and depressing weather we have in Oregon like 10 months of the year. |

The Central Valley has arguably the best year-round weather in the country, but that's counting in variety for those who like a bit of change. Take out variety and you get San Diego. (santa barbara too?)
Go hang out with the losers at Delta College in Stockton...
I effing DARE you! |

OCC and Goldenwest Community College in Orange County have pretty high acceptance rates to UCLA, UCI, CSULB, and some other Cal State schools.
OCC is supposed to pretty good, I have a bunch of friends that went there. |

The Chabot/Las Positas CC District has two excellent schools, and they're both being expanded dramatically. I'm a bit partial to las positas, because they have extremely excellent professors there (I've only had one that wasn't so good), and it's in a nicer location than Chabot. Granted the Tri-Valley isn't the most "fun" place to be, as it's out in the suburbs, but there's BART/caltrain/ace train to take you basically anywhere in the bay area that you'd want to go to.
Oh, and virtually all of the CCs in california have transfer agreements w/ the UC and CSU systems here, so transferring isn't too difficult, as long as you get good grades.
One more thought: if you're into the beach thing, Cabrillo college in Aptos (literally right next to Santa Cruz) is also a good school, but they're more impacted than Chabot/Las Positas. (And you're right next to UC Santa Cruz) |

lol no. sacramento (and the whole central valley basically) has some of the worst. its either 45f in the winter or 105f during the summer. no in between really at all. i grew up in sacramento/greater sacramento area. there is no appeal to live there. it has nothing for young people to do, and no edm. steer clear of sac.
SD, LA, and OC countys are all places i would look. i moved from sac 3.5 years ago to oc area. if i get this job im going for i will be in LA county. moving closer to downtown. i prefer LA over oc and sd. it fits me better, but id say check all 3 out to figure out which you prefer. |
