Id rather geta MK4 R32 ant spend the extra $10k on a twin turbo set up. This car was wicked fast when I saw it at buttonwillow.

not even. that $10k price difference gives you a damn good AWD system that cant be had for half that and improves grip in pretty much every situation. the only situation that a 2wd car has over an awd is launch. other than that the awd system allows the car to catch up quicker. also the larger motor has more displacement which means more torque. not to mention you could slap on a turbo or supercharger and eat the regular GTI alive.

Did I show you that article where they tested the two? They took a stock r32 and a modded GTI and raced them. The r32 still handled better, but considering they spent less than the price difference fixing up the GTI they said it was comparable. But yeah the r32 is still way more badass :p

:D dont get me wrong, i dont disagree that you can mod it to be faster, but the GTI with mods will just be comparable to the R32 stock. to get more than 100hp added and the handling of the R32 you will spend considerably more than 10k. 3k for a full suspension overhaul to match the R32, 2k or so for a larger turbo setup and new intercooler, 2k for a larger set of rims for larger tires, and then 2k for body and exhaust. honestly, its basically the same price for comparable. unless you go ebay and you can get it all half price but its chinese .

I prefer the 18s that are on the MKIV R32 over those. I really don't like the MKV wheel selections.
