It's not a big secret.. He did and interview with Toronto Life a couple of years ago which qouted some approximate numbers, though it doesn't talk about what he personally makes.
It's actually a pretty good read. Took him like 20 years to build things up to where they are now! |

Yea', but it's still The Drink. Regardless whether 15 people in there know their music or not, it's still a mainstream venue, even after the bar stars have left.

I wouldn't consider The Gallery an underground crowd at all. In fact, lots of the music that got played there was pretty main stream.

I also wouldn't consider CZ to be underground at all either. In fact, it became quite popular, and lots of the music that got played down there was/is mainstream house/techno music.
That being said, I think people need to get over themselves. Stop being such try-hards by being "underground". :rolleyes:
Like the scene and music for what it is. If you like it just because it makes you feel "underground" (ie it makes you stand out and feel important), to me you are really no better than the people you bash for being in the scene "just for the drugs". |

my thoughts exactly. i am in the scene because i love the music and have met some great friends along the way. thats all that should matter. |
