truth...but if I was chosing between an AK and a Galil I'd get the Galil even if I had to pay a little bit more, especially since a lot of the AKs around are Chinese made .
The cheapest way to get a military style rifle is to get an SKS and an aftermarket 30 round magazine. It is as reliable and just as fun to shoot as the AK but you can get the gun and magazine for less than $150. Its ok for target shooting but forget about it if you want to be able to reload a new magazine quickly. Its not really meant to take a detachable magazine so you don't just snap it in like you do with an AK.
