Gotta love the free online translation services.

The translation is botched - but the message is clear! :toothless

To the Piknic, té not in your parlor! Two years later, the text that follows remains again current. We will not pass by four ways. Now came the time to squeeze the screw.

Since its all beginnings, the mood that reigns to the Piknic is created by the complementarity of an enchanting site, of an electronic music of quality, but especially of an eclectic crowd. All an each trying to relax to his manner, this is by the comprehension and a non prohibitive approach and human that the ékip Piknic always managed the crowd in its events. We did not want to do the police and compromise the climate libertine and friendly of the event.

Nevertheless, during the last weeks, we noted a new wave of certain behaviors that surpass, to our eyes, limits, the boundaries and the acceptable norms in the well precise context of an event in the open (and not a delights) dedicated to the electronic music.

We persist and sign: a dedicated event to the electronic music, in a public park, with families, children and people of all horizon, of all kind. The Piknic remains open to all, regardless age, cutting of hair, sex, style vestimentaire, length of the feet or sexual orientation and wants to favor a more positive picture of the electronic scene montréalaise.

The mass effect being a catalyst of human, certain stupidity pikniqueurs, a minority on the 4000 persons weekly present to the event, go beyond our limits and we force to adopt as early as today an attitude that probably will take to several expulsions.
For you know (maybe not you know), it not in is necessary a lot to ruin a Piknic! It in is necessary so little that a single person suffices to ruin the everyone day. A single person.

A carefree one that distributes the "bumps" of K or of coke to its friends on the dance track to the knowledge and to the view of all, sometimes in front of children.

A so drunk pikniqueur that there remains standing by fear to fall, that believes itself all permit and becomes aggressive or unpleasant towards our personnel.

The "cool dude" that does the bacon to earth, contorted of irresponsibly to have mixed his xième GHB with alcohol, by a sunny day to 30 degrees, without having slept, without nothing to have eaten or drunk, brushing the death in an ambulance that it did not even be aware to have taken.

Alas, the recreation is finished. One surprises you to consume, you will be expelled. As always, no transaction - even for friends - will be tolerated. You have surconsommé, one will give you your vacation. As one hammers it for us since years, the moderation has well better taste! There is a distinction between to do the party and to break itself the face. You want to consume as voucher seems you, remains at the house. Your limits are not necessarily them ours. Behave! That wants all to say!

To the Piknic, té not in your parlor!
Enjoy

there will always be others that exceed tolerable limits and ruin the good time for everyone else.

with that said, i know piknic is all about the idea of all types of people coming together, regardless of age, race, sex, etc but i still cannot see why people would bring their 4 YEAR OLD SON/DAUGHTER there. even if they are far from the loud music and in the play area for the young children they can be exposed to seeing people on drugs, clouds of smoke whether its weed or cigarettes and imagine one wanders off near the speakers...the loud music can't be good for a young child's developing and sensitive ears.also ive seen some of the parents there..and they looked a little too relaxed...im not saying they all are but imagine losing your kid in a crowd of 4000 people?

personally, if i was a parent i would never bring my kid there just to avoid exposing them to the wrong things, even though the majority of the people who attend piknic usually keep it cool and discrete if they do feel the need to consume. a young child is going to get confused and ask her parents questions if they see a guy being taken away on a stretcher all ed.

Dude, you can see people on drugs just taking your kid out the front door.
C'est la vie, as they say.
