Theres tons and tons of empirical evidence on pollution and environmental destruction. It's sad and disturbing that you are somehow unable to come to grips with that.

I'm overwhelmed at the lack of intelligence in here. This is how things work in a tranceaddict forum:
1) bring up an issue
2) hear differing opinions/thoughts
3) Get neanderthal angry
4) wish death
5) pat self on back when other neanderthals agree
6) Continue to feel educated

I've already read it. See, I read both sides and make an educated guess based on ALL evidence. I'm not saying pollution doesn't exist, I'm saying it's not the ing dire emergency that people make it out to be. Try reading this book, then get back to me:

global warming or not, it's in no one's interest to continually purchase oil from the middle east (except the kings of saudi arabia). It's a win-win if we achieve a more sustainable society with energy independence through wind, solar, nuclear, hydroelectric, hydrogen fuel cells, etc... assuming that an economy will slow down in the development of new energy systems is stupid. innovation is what creates economic growth. status quo is what causes stagnation in growth. |
