Five people sought after nightclub patron in traffic crash beaten, dumped near airport

Police are looking for four men and a woman after a man was beaten and abducted after leaving a nightclub at the lakefront on the weekend.
A 28-year-old man said he and his friend were leaving the Guvernment nightclub in his friend's car near Richardson St. and Queens Quay E. around 1:30 a.m. Saturday when their car crashed into another vehicle.
While it was just a scrape, harsh words between the two drivers eventually escalated into violence, police say.
The man reported that another vehicle pulled up after the crash and followed the friend's vehicle, cornering it on the Gardiner on-ramp near the Air Canada Centre. That's where the man and his friend were pulled out of their car and beaten, he told police.
The friend managed to break free and run away, but the man was thrown into the suspects' vehicle and beaten even longer, he said.
"The suspects set upon the driver now – removed him from the vehicle, exchanged words and he was put in the suspects' vehicle," said Toronto police acting Staff Sgt. Robert Brown.
The suspects then drove him to Peel Region where he was eventually dumped at Highway 409 and Atwell Dr. near Pearson International airport, Brown said.
At one point during the drive, the suspects demanded money in exchange for the man's freedom.
The suspects said they were armed, but the victim never saw a weapon.
Once released with only a few scratches and bruises, the victim reported the incident to Peel police.
The investigation was handed over to Toronto police.
The suspects are all believed to be in their mid to late 20s. |

No where in the article does it say that the suspects came from the Guvernment, only that the victims did. |

thereby endorsing a certain stereotype and making yourself look like an elitist, something most people don't want associated with neither themselves or the 'scene' in general

It all started outside The Guvernment nightclub on Queens Quay, where the man, identified only as Parm, and his friend Koka, had just left their friend's Punjabi CD release party at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Koka, 26, was driving his mom's Mercedes CLK430 in front of the club when a man driving a BMW inched into the back of the car. Koka got out to speak with the other driver and, within minutes, everything was resolved -- or so it seemed, Parm, 28, told the Sun yesterday.
Pretty good possibility ? |
