| the uk hard house/nrg sound is still around i guess, but hasnt really evolved in years. I thought it was going to take over the world at one point when the big names were headlining all the big parties. Then all the sudden it just dropped off the map. |

Nu NRG
it was my first electronic night. i drove by my self from Pittsburgh to Manhattan. 400 + miles. the line up was Perry O'Neil, Nu Nrg then MIKE. they opened with Bonsai. it was glorious when every one in the front row yelled out "ORGASMATRON" at the same time. |

Was that at Spundae (Circus) about 2 years ago for a "White Party?" If so I was spinning upstairs that night. |

Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto and Ferry Corsten. Rank1
Seeing them live at Sensation, Gatecrasher and Trance Energy. I learned that seeing them here is nothing like how they are out there at the larger events round the world.
Meeting and witnessing a performance by Dj Ben Liebrand (Tiesto and Armin's idols) in 2001, getting his Autograph, which was #3 in the collection.
The first time I went wow here in SF, was with Armin at 1015, during his 2004 6 hour set.
He put together Tiesto's Suburban Train with Yet Another Day, and did a live mashup of it using both CDJ's.
The second time for me was seeing ATB years back. Watching the whole demeanor of a crowd go from bored to nuts is pretty amazing. |

I have driven up to San Francisco in the past (2004/2005) to catch Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, Gabriel & Dresden.
I used to be down in LA nearly every weekend also back in the day to catch all the top trance jocks. Now I don't listen to trance anymore and I don't really go out of my way to catch certain dj's anymore...
Now I only go up to San Francisco to catch the Dirtybird BBQ's and some of their residency parties at Shine. They throw good parties! |
