Preferred the version he dropped in 2006 to be honest; had less 'sweeping synths' as per virus soundbank as per Sweet Things.

could very well be, who knows. looks interesting though, their are a few tracks on their i know and im glad to see them on the tracklist.
Note to self:
their: –pronoun
1. a form of the possessive case of they used as an attributive adjective, before a noun: their home; their rights as citizens; their departure for Rome.
2. (used after an indefinite singular antecedent in place of the definite masculine form his or the definite feminine form her): Someone left their book on the table.
Did everyone bring their lunch?
there: -pronoun
1. Used to introduce a clause or sentence: There are numerous items. [i]There must be another exit.
2. Used to indicate an unspecified person in direct address: Hello there.

I found CD 1 consistently boring; the tracks aren't bad but overall they're average and very few stick out.
Kudos to the flow up until Space Kaetzle, then everything falls apart.
Tijs has so much more interesting tracks at his disposition than "The Storm" or that Cressida so it's definately a letdown to hear this bunch thrown together.
Rushjob ?
5.5/10
Disc 2 is more where it's at! Starting with very interesting tracks like Zoo Brazil (which reminds me of good old L.S.G.) & Beltek up until awesome trancers like Rush, Melkweg, Wounded Soul, The Curtain and Tanz der Seele
Only that cheesy turd Casa Grande is totally out of place and uncalled for.
CD 2 flows alot more and is a better representation of Tieso's feel for dancefloortracks.
Whereas CD1 is just plain boring (not bad, but boring) this one is a pleasure to listen to. I'm delighted :)
8/10
Overall the CD is ok; but slightly less interesting than ISOS6 was when it appeared.

did you spot the asian flutes. huh?

you guys have some mighty fine scene access going on here.

Only heard the first 5 tracks on CD1 so far and I must admit, not as bad as I was expecting.
I did skim through all the tracks though and I can't find any Asian theme at all. I can't even notice the "Asian Flutes? Huh? Remix" in there. :whip:

Wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last.
and considering you are a moderator of a certain filesharing site I would be led to believe that you don't have much room to talk.
Besides, I wouldn't pay for Tiesto :p

The part I feared about this CD was simply that it would be rushed. Not only that it's not even been a year since the last one, it seems like after ISOS6 he feels like all he has to do is get his producer to make an intro and outro for both cds, make a new Allure, get Duguid to make a new track, dig up a couple of some old tunes... and we're all set.
Slightly on the edge ofcourse.
Although I can think of a loot more tunes Tiesto has played out and in Club Life he could have selected instead, CD1 is without a doubt my pick here.
Why? Because you can't just throw together a CD with okey trance and expect the result to be good. Right, and he has kept "Rush" in hiding for many months just for this CD. So what? The track is nothing special at all. What is Just A Thought doing there? That's not only an okey tune, it's also very old. He could have found a replacement easilly.
Melkweg and Casa Grande are big favorites of mine. Existone is a good track and Something For You Mind has seemed to be a fan favorite.
But still, CD2 to me? One of those no one will remember.
Back to CD1. Take in mind I was totally in love with ISOS6 CD1. But a one big difference with these two CDs is the last four tracks. ISOS6 had a killer finish with three own tracks and one of Duguid. I would say this is the most negative part of the ISOS7 CD. I really miss a good ending because the first tree quarters of the CD is really great.
Speaking of bad ending. Cressida - 6AM (Kyau & Albert Remix)? One of the most overrated tracks of the year. Has nothing to do on the CD.
It's possible I might change my rating a lot during the next few days though. I've only heard it 1-2 times :P
But my current rating would probably be more the opposite of the one of Push2005.
CD1 8.0/10 (kind)
CD2 6.5/10

My expectation:
CD 1 = gold-dust
CD 2 = trance crap
The reality:
CD 1 = flat, no real style or concept or flow... 5/10
great tunes, but no real arrangement.
CD 2 = really nicely selected trance in a nice flow... 8/10.
I'm really shocked. I hate trance in 2008. But this disc 2 is great. Really melodic, really orthodox trance style. CD 1 i had more expectation, but this was just not going anywhere at all.
