aawww, thats sad.. :( my dog is getting pretty f'n old now, and is getting worse all the time, she has cancer.. she's not in pain or anything yet tho, so we're just hoping we can keep her as long as possible before we have to put her down :(
i remember when he had to put the dog we had before this one.. :( |

Perhaps you can, but obviously others don't. Still not really appropriate to claim "just a dog" when the person who is talking about it is clearly upset.
Anyway, no you never made fun of my pets (I haven't had any since I moved out on my own).
I know it's the "internets" but it doesn't hurt to show some compassion. |

not really the same but the best way to get over a break up is to find a new GF... well this is sorta the same too... get a new dog and treat it as in memory to Codie...
switch it up.. get a boston terrier! :D

I am really sorry to hear about your dog......Atleast you kinda knew its time is coming...The dog I had in Pakistan got poisoned by the some thieves that were trying to steal something from our house while we were away on short trip....Came back and saw our house turned over up side down and my dog lying dead on the floor with white foam kinda stuff coming out of its mouth.......I loved my dog and I was badly hurt inside.
I hope you overcome this sad phase soon time. |

I'm sorry for your loss. It's tough deciding how much time to spend with your dog before finally making the call on putting em down. Remember the good times...
Your dog looked adorable in those pictures. Just picture Cody gnawing an endless hide bone.
