I do want to point out that at the end of the night, that the food bill was completely payed for, and the waiter also got a zdravi tip! Unlike some other events where some took off without paying, there was some generosity here to be noted. THANK YOU to all the TA's who put in an extra few dollars in the pot to cover any potential short-changers. This was a very noble and quality crowd. |
This is very important to note!
This is the first event I've been to where nobody has had to cover a short bill.
The tip they received was very generous and we should all congratulate ourselves for managing the bill situation maturely. |

great seeing you all on Saturday! thanks to Kamilla (hope I spelled it right), Aaron and Miki for pulling this one off. Although I couldn't try the cevapi (:(), the kajmak and the pork schnitzel were delicious as well! That still didn't stop me from eyeing the cevapi though...if only I could eat beef, lol.
So after my original plans of being at my high school friend's house party in sauga didn't work out due to transport problems...footy was a natural choice. My views on the night are not any different from that of the others who were there, i.e., music = meh but the fun factor was still high due to good company :)
Tara, maybe we should've gone ahead with the clock idea b/c I didn't see a single guy pimpin' that. FLAVAAAA FLAVVVVV :stongue:
Umair..thanks for the ride bro. Screw these people complaining :p The car hunting at the end of the night was fun..haha.
Ania...it was awesome talking to you. sorry I didn't say a proper bye..I assumed you were coming to footy as well! Oh well..hopefully I'll get to see you again once you move here. and P.S. life in urdu translates to 'chootiya' (NOT 'zindagi'. don't listen to Ummie :p)
Barb, we'll take it to nipple pinching next time :toothless
Matt..good job on executing the chinese drill haha.
Mikey..were you humping CL's booth or no?

Do you think there may be enough interest to start a roll call?? I can find a bar for us to go to if a few of us are interested. Im soooooo excited for an afternoon race. And this is going to be such a good race! |
I'm game as long as its at PM and not AM. I need my beauty sleep. :o

I think that's a first, and I'll echo your sentiment: thanks everyone, you're awesome! That gives me renewed hope for future TA meets. :D |

and that waiter hated me.. I asked him to turn on the air conditioning when we first got there and he gave me the weirdest look and every time he came to the table he would look at me and glare and wait for me to ask for another question hahah I tipped him well so he better like me next time :p |

Excellent! :D
I always hate the paying part when it comes to events like that as, like you mentioned, someone always takes off without paying, or short changes!
Thanks for taking care of all of it!

Hi, I'm happy to hear that people enjoyed this. :) I loved it too, it was great meeting all of you :) And I'm definitely in for the sushi party, or any other eating parties we'll have in the future ;). BTW, I was also thinking that we could do a repeat of Cevapi on the Toronto Island, if we brought our own grill, as Miki was suggesting. It would be nice on a warm, sunny afternoon, and we could bring some water balloons and have a splashing fight afterwards, lol... I saw some people doing that this Sunday in a park near my house and it looked pretty fun. At any rate, if you guys decide to go to Sushi Rock restaurant (I think I might've been there once, cause it's close to my place of work, and my two co-workers took me out to a sushi restaurant on Yonge&Eglinton for lunch once), I'm coming in as well. Might bring a friend ;)
Take care y'all, and thank you all for the great time, and also I give my thanks to those who helped me organize this (praise goes to DigiNut and Miki). :gsmile: |
