I love this thread in the TOTA forums.......
Remembering our first experiences with EDM, the club life and our first "crews".....as well as the mentality, and how we changed over the years........
Share some pics and experiences in this thread from your original experiences........

Btw, YES I am platinum blond.
reminiscing, a lot of people were talking about the first time they stepped in the club and were blown away. I had the same experience. I had never seen anything like the guv, nor had I listened to such music. I has hooked. I remember not giving a damn who the DJ was because I was having a blast regardless! :) Miss the good ol days of **classic trance**, amazing peoples, and going to bed in the afternoons, walking down Queens Quay......all sketch and in a tank top looking for a cab with the peeps......while mom's and strollers are going to church :)
(nyc is still amazing with the peeps, tho!) :) :) |

| Like the Blond look!. I have pics but this was before the Digital Age (I should get them on CD). My fist "real" clubs where in 1985 during my College days in Florida. (Tampa Area, Miami). I cant belive my "club" outfits from the 80's Like you I was blown away at the scene and what when on. I was always hooked on Electronic music since a little kid. Early Kraftwerk, Tangeringe Dream, Orbital started it for me...Ill bring some pics to Love on the 14th, youll be like "wtf" |

I was def wowed by Twilo -- all I remember was a bluish cast over the entire floor along with all the strobe lights and lasers and disco ball. So amazing...I remember being intrigued by the 'snow' at EXIT when they used to do that during trance parties ^__^
and my first party/road trip up to see Picotto at System SoundBar and then Mark Oliver at the Guvernment in March 2003 for my 30th bday...hopping into a car with 4 acquaintances at the time...unreal...i remember seeing those 3 disco balls and the lasers in the main room -- we danced on the stage, and those lasers just seemed to stretch from one end of the room right into the HORIZON...in' insane...not bad for 10$ CAN at the time. :tongue2 |

my first night was some random night at exit with tony 'trainwreck' draper..i think this was thanksgiving eve 2001 possibly earlyer followed by pvd at soundfactory in 2002
ahh almost forgot an old caffeine rave in early 2001 this is where i met sean tyas for the first time..he was playing with dj x-dream and dj micro lmao and cant forget dj pleasurehead hahah |

lmfao u guys will die at my pics.. Because I was a miami girl and had the most kick ass parents.. as a 16th bday present I was allowed to go to Ultra in 2001. I wanted to go in 2000 but my parents said i was too young. Oh and I alway sloved PvD and Oakie but when they weren't on I was a fuking dnb head. SHUT UP OK?:whip:

My first night of partying was Exit in Dec. '01. I remember walking in there and asking myself 'why am I even here..I don't even like this type of music!' One song caught my attention. It was Iio - Rapture then came the 'snow' machine.
Fast forward to now and i am IN LOVE with trance. Who knew! |
