Interested in cubase, but saw on cubase forums that cubase is for external hardware. Do not use it if your goin external..
Not sure how tru this is...
Vote Live or Logic? |
the tight integration of external hardware is the main reason why i'm using cubase. i tried almost all DAWs out there but in the end cubase was the one which pleased me the most. especially for external hardware. you can use everything like VST plugins. just insert some hardware somewhere and use the automatic total recall to save all the presets of your hardware. for me it's awesome. |

I use Reaper due to its low system resource and flexibility. I've not come across any issues with VSTs but it has come along way in a short space of time to it maybe certain plugins it didn't agree with.
But nothing changed my work more until I realised I'm a visual person and have to work with audio more. No more using Battery from drums, just lay out the sounds as audio files on their own channel and your away. |

| Over time I have used Logic (windows version), Sonar, Cubase and Ableton. Ableton Live 7 is by far my favorite. I like the interface and I find I work best in it. Cubase would be second on my list but it had a few things that annoyed me enough where I went looking for an alternative. |

| Used Sonic Studio before but never liked as much because the interface to me was just not user friendly in my opion. Ableton Live and Cubase are one i use a lot now. Depends on mood I'm in of 2 interfaces I work with today. |

| renoise also works on linux :), VST and midi support. It's quite different from your regular sequencer though since it's a tracker. |
