i guess the new thing to do for breaking traditions is to switch up the first dance. the married couples start off slow dancing, like usual...and then the DJ cuts the gay music and starts another song... like a faster dance one and then they all busted out dancing in unison, bridal party and everything. it was so funny. i would totally do that if i had a big wedding.
I don't know how I found one on youtube but I started watching the related videos!

Pretty cute stuff. I got hooked on that for a bit at work haha.

I have seen some staunchly conservative family-oriented people in NYC. BTW, did you read the post by chimera66, in which she wrote how her 25-yr-old sister in Manhattan was getting married?

Also: in Germany, the average age for males is 32, females 29.

That's 5 years later than in the US, and they don't even have many of the socioeconomic hurdles that we do in the US, for instance they have free healthcare.

my sister isn't in nyc, i'm the only one who lives in manhattan. we are from oregon so not sure if that has anything to do with it. either way i don't anticipate getting married until later and knocked up until much later. if i get any of those damn questions (which i will) next week i'll tell people to leave me the hell alone.

i think the fact that i'm the baby makes a big difference. i think even if i decide to get married when i'm 40, my parents' reaction is still going to be like WHAT?!??!!? lol

Out of about 20 close friends aged 25-33 only 2 are married. i dont plan on getting married till at least 35.

Not really. Here, let's take 6 numbers:

Even though the average is 27, only one of these numbers is higher than the average.

Hence why median values should be used for just about everything instead of averages.

It would be interesting to see how income, education, and health affected this.

Yes really.

Let's take six more numbers from a different case scenario.

31
30
30
30
23
18

Average is also 27.

Anyway, both of our case scenarios are plausible. You don't know the real numbers though until you find out the mean and median, not just average.

The mean is the average :p I assume you meant 'median and mode'
