Thanks for all the feedback everyone. Im hoping to hearing from more peoples and all of you guys on TA...
Ya, all of us arent wise spenders, or money watchers and know how to deal with finances.. Being a promoter too myself I know how difficult it is to pull an audience when you dont have a headliner.
I hear what your saying about headliners RICH. Lately, I havent been impressed with some of the ones that have been hitting our scene out here locally.... I guess I'm just too picky, I derno....
Gas does play a big part on things. Alot of my friends and people I run into are really complaining about not only Gas prices but also on parties they have been attending lately, simply spending the cost and being unsatisfied has been a issue lately in 2008 and is common from alot of people I talk to on the weekends. Club hopping is becoming less common from some of us who go from one place to another since we could easily burn 1-200.00 bucks on a Saturday night.
Whats a better day for you guys to party, Fridays or Saturdays? |

Saturday.
I am usually tired on Fridays from working on people's cars or playing handy man at the complex. |

They say when the economy is slow, entertainment stays stable or goes up since people's moral is low.
Plastic surgery goes down however make-up sales and less pricey things like manicures and pedicures go up.
As a promoter, I know that way less people are getting bottle service vs. a couple years ago. A couple years ago I had friends that refused to go clubbin without a table. (Thats when they were raking in big $$$ refinancing everyone and their mothers).
Hopefully we'll do better with our next President and the dollar will gain some strength. Hopefully I can make it back to Ibiza in a couple seasons! |

who's they? when inflation is high, some entertainment is stabilized by foreign tourism, that much i believe. when people here have less money and are worried about layoffs, i don't think they are spending more or even the same as otherwise. |

It makes some sense. But if someone doesn't have money, they don't really have a choice. I'm sure credit card spending is at an all time high.
It is true that tourist cities such as Vegas are trying to get tourist dollars in. Europeans and the British are offered great packages to get their Euros and Pounds spent here. |

I'm just saying the next president won't help the situation and the dollar won't recover much anytime soon. Let's hope I'm wrong and the sh*t don't stink so bad which we'll find out in a few years. :wtf:
But no, I don't think our dollar will always be weak, since it won't exist many years from now. Our economy will definitely bounce back! Welcome to the amero! |
