Does the state of the economy prevent you from going Clubbing & Partying? (pg. 5)

Plastic surgery goes down however make-up sales and less pricey things like manicures and pedicures go up.

As a promoter, I know that way less people are getting bottle service vs. a couple years ago. A couple years ago I had friends that refused to go clubbin without a table. (Thats when they were raking in big $$$ refinancing everyone and their mothers).

Hopefully we'll do better with our next President and the dollar will gain some strength. Hopefully I can make it back to Ibiza in a couple seasons!

I was supposed to post this but you already did.

Indeed, ironically, based on research, when economy is down, alcohol sales goes up. Skin care and make-up also trend upward during these times and this is something thats not only seen in the US.

To keep it simple, when people are down, they find ways to make themselves feel better, or better yet, they look for outlets. That seems to translate to alcohol and beauty products respectively.

I also agree though that bottle services are down.

For us at INCOGNITO, we have been lucky enough to NOT have felt that we have been affected by the present state of the economy. And we hope we never will. We will just continue to strive to come up with a value for money, high quality and good vibes event that will allow people to take their minds of the hassles of everyday life, at least every 1st and 3rd Fridays.

PS. We've felt going against the same night with a playoff game of the Lakers that went overtime, most of our crowd arrived past 12midnight, now that was a hassle.:whip:

Yep, sure does.

Yeah I take everything into consideration. Mainly for me it's the DJ though.

Does Clubbing & Partying prevent you from paying attention to the state of the economy? ;)

At least to make up for the higher price of gas, some clubs have increased parking 50-100% over the last several months too! The higher price of oil makes it more expensive to park? :conf:

For me it would have to be the DJ. It seems like there is a lot of them returning from last year and I think it'd be nice to see different ones from time to time.

Right now it's Ibiza season. Seems as if we get all the better (big name) DJ's in the winter.

As I don't go out much to weeklies (either I'm traveling or spending time with friends at their places), I'm more in tune to the DJ. Unless it got crazy (like a $75+cover), I'm ok with paying a decent amount for the DJ.

DJ Taj
I heard a report that gas could reach $7 a gallon by 2010.

After rollin round last night @ a few SF/clubs i would seriously say sh*t aint good.
