Barring '90 and '96, that's a lot of 'almosts'. ;)
I'm expecting the psychological effects of winning a title (and winning a quarter-final for that matter) will open the floodgates for Spain. |

judging by the looks on the german players' faces when the final whistle went i think it's pretty safe to say that past successes and 2nd/3rd places meant absolutely jack to them. what matters was that this team lost, and they lost because they plain weren't good enough. |
