| Well my money is literally on Germany, so no surprises as to who I'm going for. |

| I really want spain to win. Spain plays better footy and i just hate ballack with passion. Always whining and pushing people. F zee the germans. |

| also, after every goal, at the stadiums they play some catchy old house tune from like late 90's/early 00's. I can't quite put my finger on it now, but I knew they name when I heard it last week... |

David Villa is the top scorer in the tournament so far, but he'll be out this weekend. Expect Torres to step it up. |

| Germany have actually scored better goals than Spain. Ballack vs Austria, Schweinsteiger vs Portugal, Lahm vs Turkey... all spectacular goals. A lot of Spain's goals were quite simple. |

Some people are really glued to old preconceptions and stereotypes about ugly, lucky German football. If you wanna talk about luck, take a look at Italy or Turkey for example. Ask yourself when Germany achieved something the last time (hint, sometime around the middle of the 90s). Look objectively at the style of football played by the German aquad since the 2005- Klinsmann era.
Unlike 2002 (which was a crazy, unattractive tournament as a whole), this time the Germans actually delivered and rightfully qualified for the battle for Europe's crown. Already in 2006 did they play fresh, dynamic football, and besides some backslides, they'e again performing convincingly and never really boringly. Some of the players I still can't stand, but I started to shift from conditioned anti-Germans sentiments to objective judgement of their football.
What I wanna say by all this babbling is: May the better team win. For me it's totally 50:50. |
