There's no point in taking a movie seriously if it looks poor from the get go. If you do that you'll end up just being disappointed. exactly. It hovers in between trying to be a really cool movie and just being outrageously ridiculous in a good way.
Jason X...I own it, along with every other Jason movie, and absolutely love it. They had their tonque-in-cheek when they made that one, and it shows. I don't think the people who made 'Wanted' did though.

the dark knight in imax, the event I've been waiting for all summer.. 2.5 hours of the dark knight on that huge screen, oh man..the movie got a 100% rating at rotten tomatoes, something I've very rarely seen. I actually thought it wasn't going to be that great as part 2s usually go, but almost every review I read about it so far put it up there..

kung fu panda, my fav movie of the summer so far, lol. I think po the panda is the best animated character to hit multiplexes since shrek, that tough-talking chubby panda just cracks me up :toothless
iron man I thought was good, nice humor etc. wasnt blown away by it like others though, but it's good. downey got more people to like him in one movie than tobey mcguire could in 3 spiderman flix
indy and speed racer imo are the biggest flops of the summer, didn't enjoy them at all. I had expectations for indy. as i said, just my opinion, no offense to people who liked it. it did make a crapload of money worldwide, so its not technically a flop, just a major fkg disappointment..
hulk was better than ang lee's but that's not really saying much.
hanwas entertaining and a crowd pleaser, not bad
wanted is a nice distraction from all the pg-13 fare out there because it has some nice r-rated bloody action, nothing held back. and it's not a bad flick either
now I'm just sitting back waiting for dark knight--and then--max payne--in october. yeah, baby. bring the payne!
