the dark knight in imax, the event I've been waiting for all summer.. 2.5 hours of the dark knight on that huge screen, oh man..the movie got a 100% rating at rotten tomatoes, something I've very rarely seen. I actually thought it wasn't going to be that great as part 2s usually go, but almost every review I read about it so far put it up there..
Dark Knight only had a 100% rating last week when it had like 10 reviews.
There's about 30+ reviews now, down to 88% rating which is still pretty good.

The Dark Knight: 10/10
Totally amazing. I thought The Hulk was good, and I thought Iron Man was great. The Dark Knight made both of them, along with every other comic book movie, look like complete child's play.
Without a doubt, Heath steals the show. I've been racking my brain the past two days trying to think of a more better, more engrossing acting performance in a movie, and I'm hard pressed to come up with one.
Christian Bale cemented himself as the best of the Batmans in Batman Begins, and he does an equally good job in this one. He actually plays more of s supportive role in this one to Heath's Joker, and Aaron Eckhart's Harvey Dent / Two Face.
anyway, I can't say enough about how damn good The Dark Knight is. My only gripe was that the volume in the theater I saw it in was very low, and a I missed a lot of the early dialogue before my ears adjusted. I'll probably see it again though this week. :toothless

awesome flick, this movie I think is bigger than just a 'superhero' movie. it's compelling, an epic piece of storytelling. the way christopher nolan directs this movie (and batman begins) shows how much of a master director he is for his portrayal of batman where so many others have failed. for 2.5 hours he keeps you glued to the screen and he has an ongoing pace in the background that lets you feel and know that something big is happening, or about to happen. compare this harvey dent to tommy lee jones' two face and you'll see how the earlier batmans pale in comparison to bale's batman movies. and of course there's no need to compare ledger's joker-it was very enjoyable watching his stellar performance, and yes he does steal the show.
what I also appreciate about the movie is that it wasn't aimed at the kids like most of the other superhero movies this summer, it wasn't sugar coated at all. this is an adult, dark superhero movie that explores pain and personal conflict, exploring the characters psychologically while still serving as an awesome crime drama and action flick.
I'll be watching it again in imax, 2.5 hours of this on the imax screen is too good. as soon as tickets become available, that is. maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to see a movie made with batman facing the ultimate villain who broke him-bane.
believe all the hype--it's a great flick.

Saw Tropic Thunder this weekend. I'd give it a 9.5/10. Robert Downey Jr is f'ing unbelievable. Film totally exceeded my expectations, and has some very funny surprise guest apperances ;) only lost that .5 a point because there are a few scenes that are more just awkward than funny, but totally worth the $$.

9.5 really? Wow, I thought it was funny but more like an 8 imo. Robert Downey stole the show!!

I'm easily amused, what can I say. I don't really like any of those superbad/knocked up movies, but this one really cracked me up.

Tropic Thunder really was amazing. I went in with so-so expectations (based on Stiller's recent movies) and was ing dying laughing the entire movie. Robert Downey Jr. was incredible. I'm a big war movie they threw in a ton of hysterical references.
