my school consists of about 99% white rich kids they all live in huge houses in the suburbs in the safest sheltered community possible.
hip hop and rap was born originally in the ghettoes of major cities in poor conditions as a way to voice... something i forgot, (i just saw a special on this on mtv) hardships, troubles, unjust police, i don’t know.
how is it that 90% of the people at my school like rap??

so they don’t appreciate it, they cant relate to the content, and the beat by itself is generally boring.
As for emenem, lets publicly and internationally dis our moms for not raising us properly (by the way mom the bmw yeah the new one you gave me needs the oil changed)

angst? eheh.. I doubt it. They don't choose the music, the industry chooses for them.. Whatever is considered 'hot' on the menu, they want it.. In your case, that is.
When I was in junior high.. All my friends listened to explicit rap because it became so popular. Me, I didn't like it and found it boring as cardboard.

all the artists that came out after them just began raping about the same garbage over and over again...ZERO originality nowadays...

He is a little disrespectful piece of garbage that treats women like trash...who ever listens to a guy who bashes his women,,,especially his own mother and then beats his wife and then turn around and say this guy is inspirational is a complete and utter moron...

I don't agree with this. Moby was on Saturday night Live the other week and the guy was so funny.
He wore a blue T-shirt saying "I Heart Eminem"
I think that was one of the funniest things ever. Funnier than anything Eminem ever said or did. Very subtle.
I also think that Eminem is a bit two faced because his last album was all about raves and pills and and then he goes and puts down the whole scene. |

Another ignorant comment about Eminem being a "wigger"... why is it that he thinks he is black? Because he does rap music? That kind of racist attitude is not going to get you anywhere.

It's because of opinions like yours that got him recognition in the first place... it's funny how the people that hate him the most all still want to know what he's going to say next...
even after 3 albums, people still don't seem to understand the fact that he says these things just to piss people off... do you actually think he killed his wife and dumped her body into a river while his daughter was watching? He knows that he got recognition in the first place because of his controversial lyrics and the fact that he is white... has he ever denied it? In one of his songs, he even says "Let's face the facts, if I was black, I woulda sold half." No one ever said that he got to where he is now because of his skills as a rapper... but those of us that understand what he's doing, writing controversial lyrics to piss people off and get their attention, can see past it and judge him based on his lyrical skills.
A lot of you are also mentioning that he needs to focus more on the music than being controversial... I agree with that, but I find his new album to be less controversy-oriented than his first two.
