OMFG, I cannot f*cking wait for this night. Musically, it is going to be really special, as is every James Holden night.
ONLY 2 MONTHS AND 10 DAYS (68 days) AWAY!
Taj, I wish I could make it out to SF on Thursday night too. |

I don't remember, but I remember it reaching capacity at like 11pm, and a lot of people weren't able to get in. |

yah a bit small of a place for Holden at this point + new mix CD coming out, though it will make for a good party for those that get in. They should host him at Avalon the following night ;) |

any promoter would hate you for that idea.
all people who bought their pre-sales had priority entry last year; and that was almost everybody. and that will be the same process this year or any other event.
you can never take a chance by just showing up if it's expected to be a sold out night. |

For Holden's case I dont think it would affect the first night negatively. King King and Avalon are two different experiences. I think at this point, Holden has enough pull to sellout King King, even if he was playing the next night at Avalon.
But yah, if I go it would be presales. |

i disagree. Avalon is a huge club and can be difficult to fill. They constantly offer discounted and free guest list entries for the sake of getting the club filled early. I would assume more people would opt for the cheaper option. |

| jebus not avalon! its like the ruby skye of LA... sure it can be good with good talent and production like lazarus album release or lee vs howells but i rather have holden at an intimate cozy venue with good sound and less of douche/hollywood crowd! really hope supperclub in sf brings in funktion one sound like for nick warren this past janaury. |

After Sasha @ Avalon a couple months ago, I will NOT be going to Avalon again for a long time... a VERY long time.
Thank god James Holden is NOT playing there! |
