| iPhone zealots can take them and shove them sideways - I'll take RIM's 9000 / 9500 any day of the goddamned week. |

I just saw a bunch of kids camped outside of a rogers store and was wondering WTF they were doing.
I now know and still think they're in retarded. |

Oh yeah, check the 3G bands on that phone dude. Bet it doesn't support our 3G networks, like most Euro phones. |

Well, I had it for a while now, couldn't unlock it cause Canada didn't have a network or any unlocking software until Rogers signed the contract...or the guy in the stall was bluffing me about it. I think mine supports a TV network too.
Usually, i'm annoyed with cellphones and people with cellphones around me. |

I just got the LG Vu (exactly like the Vantage, without the slide out keybord) and I really like it as an upgrade from my old phone.
all I did on my old phone was talk a lot and text like a madman, and this touch phone can do that so I'm happy. It's core OS seems very fast and responsive, no lag. It does what I want to very well (texting is awesome on it, t9 prediction with a half screen qwerty style keyboard wicked)
Every aspect of the phone seems well thought out and planned for example like contacts you can search, favorite/group them add secondary numbers. its a very versatile phone and they definitely wanted people to have their way of things, you can do a ton of with it.
the stuff i dont use aka rogers vision (tv/xm radio/push email/walking webcam business) is there (and that isnt on the iPhone) but my plan doesn't have it and i really don't need it.
all in all I don't see why anyone would get an iPhone. most people have ipods anyways so whats the point? i guess consolidation is a good thing for some people but there are so many other cool nifty phones out there. |

Oh yeah.
Heads up:
Apparently Rogers only got 25% of the order they asked from Apple. So every Rogers store is carrying a MAXIMUM of 30 phones per store, going by first come first serve basis. That's what a Rogers employee told me.
have fun. |
