david, late on the review but better late then never.
i have to agree with rob. The first bit of the set was superb but then it kind of lost it to me. Perhaps this style is too new for you to get the flow down pat, but still you managed to put up some good tunes, which every mix should be about. Keep up and keep diggin:) |

PM sent. You enjoyed? |
I've enjoyed it. It was very much peaks an valleys for me - not so much in the first part but definitely in the second half. Felt like you ran out of ideas on what to play and just pieced things together.
The first half felt very well planned and had a great drive to it. By the time we get to the last 3-4 tracks it feels like "alright time to close this out." Very choppy.
But I think those tunes as standalone are terrific and I definitely take away a few to play for myself. Especially Full Moon, what a wonderful track! |

| Could the first post be updated with all the sets please? Digging through all the pages and posts is a b!tch. Cool idea guys. |

Thanks for the reviews, guys. :)
I think the problem here in the second half of the set lies in the fact that I was trying to appeal to an audience with a shorter attention-span while still playing a sound that I liked. (Like I mentioned earlier, I am using this as a demo mix to send out to some promoters... and around here, I don't think that an hour's worth of my first half of the set would fly where I'm from... though, I could be wrong.) Once I score gigs, I feel like I could play however I wanted (the first half).
I think what I should probably do is start posting TA-exclusive sets, lol.
But yes, the first half is definitely my favorite... And I think I'm up for mixing more full sets with that sound. Would love to have you guys listen to them and see how you find it, if you can be bothered. |

lol, next time just make a mix consistant with the first half hour of this one, and each time you turn in into a promoter as a demo include a couple of adderall pills. |

make 2 sets and concentrate on flow.
pick the best one.
a great flowing set can make things that do not usually fly more likely to be given a chance by people unfamiliar with it imo. |

Track one on my set is "Ghostland Observatory - Stranger Lover". Glad to hear you liked it! I hope it served you well in Thailand. Nothing better than to know that your set was listened to repeatedly over a time-span.

Great! Thanks for the listen. Hope it was worth the "hype". :) |
