In September, the car I ordered will arrive:

Different color though, mine will be reddish.
Until then, the lease company has blessed me with this temporary 'car':

(I have one in dark blue).
You can't believe how happy I am :sadgreen: |

I drive the white one. Before that i drove the blue one, but my sister drives that now. And even before that i drove the red one. That one belongs to my grandfather but my aunt drives it now. I'm not bothered, mine is still the most beautiful and the most economical. 1.9 JTD, around 5l/100km. Beat that.

"This is our corolla, there are many like it, but this one is ours." (well the one in the picture isn't but they're all the same)
We have one of these as the 'daily' and they're made in a far away country by magical toy-ninja-ota robots. Barely anything can prepare you for just how breathtakingly innocuous this vehicle is, I have stabbed other peoples Corolla's in supermarket carparks with its key thinking that it was ours. So now I hunt it down by pressing the alarm so it will chirp, sing and flash its lights to let me know where its hiding like a big grey duck.. hiding with other ducks!
(By household law I am not allowed to say bad things about her because I buy "incredibly stupid cars" and there will be fights...)
It has a 1.8 engine, I know this because it says on the side and it drinks petrol because it says that on the filler lid thing, but not very much as it doesn't run only on petrol, it also apparently runs on happy thoughts and love (which is lucky as I don't think its ever been serviced in its life so I guess that makes it a virgin)
I don't know exactly how may horsepower it has but I'd imagine it has about 80, maybe 90 and seeing that it has the turning circle of a bulk ore carrier in a typhoon, they go through the front wheels. Which is normally the sign of a motor vehicle which is nothing more than a glorified shopping trolley on wheels because that's also how it handles and real cars only have power which goes through the rear or all the wheels... but this is a corolla so its ok for them to go through the front, or I will get punched. Like the time I put the handbrake on and got it sideways though that roundabout near the shops one night. :nervous: |

I heard some Hyundai models are bad, but my first Hyundai, a '95 accent I bought brand new lasted me 12 years. It was built like a tank, never any major problems. I just bought an Elantra a couple of months ago, and expect it will go just as long. |
