The book has almost nothing to do with global warming. It has to do with the impact of humans on earth.

That's because you are a ing idiot of the highest magnitude, not at all unlike the new Earth creationists who deny hundreds of years of scientific evidence all in the name of stubborn ignorance.

People like you make me sick to my stomach. The world would be a much, much better place without you.

I say it, at this point. There are times when I certainly believe that ignorance is bliss but this is not one of them. However, it's obviously pointless arguing with this guy. It's not going to get through to him until it hits hard, and when it does he'll go, "Oh... ." I say let it hit him like that.

More likely is it will never get through to him, and he'll continue with the rest of similar folk in their day to day ignorance supplanted by some 5 minute incendiary youtube video by 3 "scientists" explaining why the whole thing is a hoax and we're better off doing all, whilst ignoring completely the fact that this should not be a climate change debate, it should be an environmental debate. He doesn't have the intellect to understand concepts which cannot be explained on youtube or require more than 1 sentence to understand. Reading a book is clearly asking far, far, too much...

Although I do recommend it to the rest of you, absolutely fantastic read, and it is actually very emotional if you love the natural world.

Which, once again, misses the point we outlined in the beginning of this thread.

I despise the whole global warming debate. Whether man's burning of fosil fuels is contributing to the warming of the earth is a destraction from the real issue... which is the continued wasting of fosil fuels to begin with. We may or may not be warming the planet; however, we're definately abusing a limited resource and damaging our environment in the process.... that should be enough to prompt change regardless of antartic ice thickness.

This is what I've been repeating ad nauseam for years now. There are two sides in this debate and only one of them is beneficial to the environment. Regardless of what/who is to blame for climate change, action against global warming is always better for the environment, for efficiency, and for finding better ways of living.

The people who insist on cock-blocking the issue are only serving the continued destruction and degradation of our planet and its resources, and that is the bottom line.

For the Global Warming alarmists... read this, and tell me this doesn't even slightly make a dent?

According to this analysis, it's entirely possible.

Yes Clovis, I know the point you're trying to convey about the end result being good for the NVR regardless.

Edit: that sounds weird... I mean that I know you are trying to say that climate change policies, weather they work or not, are good for the environment and that's what you care about the most

Forget about global warming or ice caps melting, CO2 absorption by the ocean alone should be reason enough to implement drastic changes and half our emissions.
