what do you mean?

Just feels like a lot of releases lately come with the same generic support comments like "awesome!" "good stuff!" nothing really of any substance.

Plus I kind of lol'd at this.

yea but its a good track.. why wouldn't it get good support comments.

and yea, all support comments are generally short and sweet.. no one with anything to do has time to write a paragraph review for each of the hundreds of promos they get each week.

But they have plenty of time to keep up appearances, that's for sure.

Way to defend complete pandering though. "Support comments" are a an absolute joke of a marketing tool, as are the people who read them and think "Gee, that must mean it's good - Hernan said it's 'very good.'"

What a ing joke. :stongue:

i don't consider sending promotional material to top tier artists and displaying their feedback to be pandering. when did this become an illegitimate practice?

When people started wearing:

quote:
Hernan Cattaneo - It's good

...as a badge of honor. It's all just a whole lot of commercial circle jerking, and I feel sorry for you if you feel otherwise.

PS: I can't wait to hear how many times Tiesto plays whatever you release next - I'm sure he'll think:

quote:
"It's Great" - Tiesto.

interesting perspective.

yes i do feel otherwise, why would you feel sorry for me?

Because it's a shame anytime you see someone buy so wholeheartedly into the smoke and mirrors of the world of EDM.

It's certainly anything but "great." - RJT

what's 'smoke and mirrors' about sending a promo to a dj, asking for feedback, and posting the feedback along with release info?
bas
