Coward, I have called you out numerous times for a debate and you have either closed down your thread or have run away every damn time.

Opus, if you want to debate all you have to do is not respond with your vulgar langugage.

And my profanity is not a worthy excuse for you to continually run away. Until they change the rules here where we can no longer use profanity, I will continue doing so like I have for the past 7 years I have been here.

But....but - I am more than delighted to make an exception for you. No profanity. Hell, I'll even allow you to say the most profane things to me you can think of and ask the mods to merely look the other way in that particular debating thread(s) in question, and I promise not to utter one profane word. Is that acceptable to you? So whenever you're ready, champ, let's start a topic like the one I asked you about earlier - where are the majority of Americans on the main issues of the day and which party is more in line with the American people.

Whenever you're ready, let me know.

oh come on Opus you are scaring the kid away.:p he knows he is going to lose when comes down the real issues.Funny how he claims he has invited "the fellow members" to debate with him and here you are asking him with open arms challenging him to debate.

By the way, coward, where the hell did you come to this conclusion based on anything that I said earlier?:

Please demonstrate how you came to such a conclusion based on any statement I made earlier. I did a double take myself just to see if I even might have made some sort of indirect implication that would lead one to possibly believe this, and I can't find it anywhere. Can you point it out for me in my statements, please?

Oh wait, that's right, you never read what I say, do you? So once again, we might just be finding that you're simply making up. Always shocking to reveal, of course.

To the rest who actually read my rants, or actually to those who can read beyond a 3rd grade level (sorry, Latin, you're excluded here), my rant was not directed towards Obama or his chances of winning (if anything I think I might be implying McCain's chances decreasing as a result of his newest pick), but rather the opinions and the high decibel level of chatter that the pundits are making that seems to be drowning out everything else at this point to me.

Yeah Opus--I hear you. I'm pretty burned out on politics these days and I get the same vibe from a lot of friends (though I think the institutional left has a bit more energy right now for obvious reasons). It's just becoming a mudpit I don't really want to jump into.

Also--I like your profanity--it makes me giggle.

And Josh--you ing quoted Billy Joel. And one of the gayest Billy Joel songs of all time at that. I mean, , you could've quoted Uptown Girl and I would've appreciated it more. neaaahhhh!;)

I know! I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt here, but since someone else caught this, can I laugh now?

Opus, you're not the only one burned out. I have recently, too. This year has been a dousche when it comes to politics around the world. I got sick of it all. Even the dam Russian politics have sickened me very much. I can stop saying how much I despise the way Russia handled the whole Georgian conflict. And even elsewhere - too much bull, and all of it is out of our control. And most people will continue be manipulated, controlled, deceived ... like, seriously, McCain picking his running mate - clearly a political game for advantage over an opponent rather than adding experience. The public is so naive. Humans are stupid. And very ignorant.

Well read into it as you like. You know where I stand on how McCain is playing politics right now. In any case, I agree I'm a bit burnt.

yeah but Rove? c'mon man he's under contract for Newsweek (i don't think it's a mystery to you where they stand regarding Bush btw, regardless) Rove can't be in any official capacity with McCain's campaign.

maybe i took it too literally. maybe it's Rove that got you where you are mentally in the first place.

Q5echo,

The problem with Opus is that he is paranoid. I mean in these elections w.e decision Mccain takes the far left and its followers pin point to Rove. I mean while Rove is writting articles in WSJ, Newsweek and giving interviews at Fox the far left has this conspiracy theory, like always, that Rove is waging a campaign against them  then the far left ask themselves why they lose elections

Of all people, you call Opus paranoid... I'll tell you what paranoia is "Oh my god! They're building nukes! Saddam's going to nuke us!" Does that ring a bell?
