The much anticipated Labour party was a complete success! Even though we waited in line for 45 min with pre-bought tix, it was well worth it. We got in just before Armin came on and ripped it apart. He had a wicked vibe going for all the z103 crowd till 3-ish, then he started playing tonnes of fillerbeats with a few random "OMG" songs everynow and then. Once "Satellite" came on, that's when it started picking up for me again. I was thinking about the tracklist and thought the last 2-3hours is an all star set! I really hope someone can find out whether or not this set was recorded... :eyespop:
It was awesome finally meeting Funkycrew (Kristina) and Illnada (Nada), you girls know how to partaaaaaaay! lol.
Anyhoo, too tired to post my vids yet, but i'll upload them tomorrow.

Enjoyed hanging out with Jesse, Ania and Chris most of the night. I enjoyed Mark Knight. Sad I missed Armin play the classics, but it was a zoo in the KH. It was a tight sausage factory in the front and had to move back.
Got lots of pix with Susan Hansen at the sno cone stand but a photogropher I didn't recognize... what other sites have pix from the event?
Also briefly met a really nice girl named Abby, and sadly didn't run into her again. Anyone know a girl who was there named Abby? |

Hands down, the best 8 hr set I have ever heard in my life...
hell, this is TA, the fact that there are not pages and pages of haters flaming the fck out of armin goes to show just how damn good that set was. (at least not in the first 5 or 6 pages i read)
The flow of that set was unreal for someone who plays such a wide variety of trance. Started nice and mellow, and once again escalated to a pretty heavy beat for armin...
I can only think of a couple mixing hiccups. Minor, but for the most part his transitions from tune to tune were insanely well planned out, and dropped in beautifully to give you that little bit of extra rush.
About 6:15 the set did start to get a little more drawn out...He threw in a bunch of mashups, and crowd pleasing classics, many of which people mentioned in this thread. I personally am not a huge fan of that since it tends to break flow, but it was wind-down time of an 8 hr set, and he still maintained some kind of order.
Koolhaus did get damn hot and packed as usual...Lucky we had room in the bottle service to retreat too when needed.
