This one isn't bad either. I haven't had it in a long time, but not horrible.

And this one is pretty good chilled:

I had Zyr once a few years ago... I liked it from what I remember, but it's been too long and I've had too many other brands since then to give a real opinion. I've had a bottle sitting in my kitchen for 2 years and still haven't opened it. lol
BTW... go here for a massive list of on-line vodka at good prices---> http://www.missionliquor.com/Store/Qstore/Qstore.cgi
Unfortunately, the Jewel of Russia Ultra is $84 on there, but you can get Jean Marc XO for $49.99 which is a rediculous steal... and along with the J of R Ultra, the only brand IMO that can compete with Kauffman.
J of R for $74.99 here---> http://starwine.biz/store/index.php...5brb7ntdql81g07 |

I spend 20 dollars on a bottle of vodka and it taste the same as a 50 dollar bottle of vodka
Maybe because i make vodka and tonics with lots of lime.... |

that is my drink of choice. although there is no way a $20 vodka tastes like a $50 vodka. |

yeah vodka is something i'd never spend more on.
i think the only reason people do it is just for appearances.
i mean how good do can it possibly be? it's ing vodka, not a carpaccio of octopus |

| Definitely a big difference between low end vodka and good vodka... when the price gets really high I tend to think it's BS too. |

then you sir are lucky. i'm no connoisseur but 99.9% of the time i drink vodka tonics and i've come to the point where i can taste the difference. although i like my drinks hard so i'm mostly drinking vodka so it has to be decent for me to bear drinking it pretty close to straight. |

I agree with Chimera... the more of it you drink, the more you can recognize the subtle differences, especially if you use little to no mixer.
Unless I'm at a nice restaurant, providing for special guests, or drinking it strait, I tend not to over-spend on the name. Just regular Stoli is my go-to bottle... and at any typical bar I'll just order Smirnoff with soda and lemon if I know I'll be ordering several drinks. |

I can taste the difference as well, but to pay 100$ for a bottle of what is essentially the same stuff in a 15$ bottle is completely insane...
It also violates the proletariat spirit of the.... spirit. :p
I also prefer my vodka with a bite... Goose is too smooth. :mad: |

At least SOME people know what they're talking about when it comes to Vodka. When you're a vodka elitist you tend to notice difference between cheap and not so cheap. Different smell, different taste. I agree with buy cheaper bottles and still having the same effect as the 100 bottles but sometimes you just want to jazz it up a bit. |
