well the Packers were smart on that front and didn't pay him longterm.
edit: i'm wrong, they gave him 30 mil over 4 years in the summer... ugh mistake. |

i didn't follow the situation too closely and i remember early in the summer they were like " you nigga, why should we pay you after just one season."
and i was like damn right.
i guess they caved halfway through. |

I think they caved closer to the end, actually - he wasn't in camp for most of the Summer because he was holding out.
And now we're seeing that either his:
A. Lack of dedication.
0r
2. Lack of talent.
Are coming back to bite us in the ass. I hope it's A, and that someone lights a ing fire under his ass soon - but I fear that it's actually 2.

well, to be fair, he needs someone better than Brandon Jackson (THAT ING BUM!) pushing him for playing time.
they should've picked up something in the draft instead of assuming Grant will continue to roll from last year. |

| I'm still giving Grant the benefit of the doubt. He played too well last season to be this mediocre now. |

Week 6 -
Chicago vs. Atlanta - Chicago's stout defense and developing running game (where did this Forte kid come from!) should do well enough to pull this one out. Atlanta has been up and down, and they won last week, so... - :wtf:
Miami vs. Houston - I'm starting to take the Dolphins seriously. It's an up and coming defense with an accurate QB. The Fish should be ok this week. - :wtf:
Baltimore vs. Indianapolis - Baltimore defense (esp. secondary) is beat up after last week. - 1
Detroit vs. Minnesota - 0-16? - 1
Oakland vs. New Orleans - Saints in a must win to keep up with Carolina. Oakland is in a new scheme. Should be a blow-out. - 1
Cincinnati vs. NY Jets - I think Cincinnati will keep it close every week... and lose. - 1
Carolina vs. Tampa Bay - The "who's for real" match-up. Tampa Bay finally has a solid line, certainly making Griese (Garcia this week?) look better than they are. But Carolina's defense is tough against the run, which will force them to throw and force turnovers. - :wtf:
St. Louis vs. Washington - Do Lions and Rams play this year? I'd watch :) - :wtf:
Jacksonville vs. Denver - Denver sucks against the run. But Jacksonville can't sack the QB... should be close, and could go either way. I'm sticking with the Jags. - 1
Dallas vs. Arizona - Remember when Brett Favre torched their secondary... what do you think Tony Romo is capable of? - :wtf:
Philadelphia vs. San Francisco - Must win to keep up in the toughest division in the NFL. - 1
Green Bay vs. Seattle - I just don't think that the Seahawks are THAT terrible. Prove me wrong, Pack, prove me wrong. - :wtf:
New England vs. San Diego - Let's get some revenge for the AFC Championship loss. - 1
Giants vs. Cleveland - Whatever happened to that awesome line and high-octane offense in Cleveland? - :wtf: |

With as bad as the "good" teams are playing I'm about to start flipping a coin for every game. |

Week 6 -
Chicago vs. Atlanta - I knew Michael Turner was good, but he's turned this team into the surprise of the season. - 1
Miami vs. Houston - After last week's let-down, I think this team comes back strong in front of the home crowd. - 1
Baltimore vs. Indianapolis - I refuse to believe the Colts are as bad as they're playing. - 1
Detroit vs. Minnesota - Not even Brad Childress can throw away this game. - 1
Oakland vs. New Orleans - Think the Raiders punt to Reggie? - 1
Cincinnati vs. NY Jets - Are we allowed to call Carson Palmer over-rated yet? - 1
Carolina vs. Tampa Bay - Gruden's team plays scrappy football, and they're going to keep the South close. - 1
St. Louis vs. Washington - Jason Campbell 4 Heisman! - 0
Jacksonville vs. Denver - The difference between a home game and an away game. - 0
Dallas vs. Arizona - Out on a limb maybe, but I think the greatest show on turf is back in Phoenix. - 1
Philadelphia vs. San Francisco - Philly always does what it takes to stay mediocrely relevant. - 1
Green Bay vs. Seattle - We want the ball, and we're gonna win. - 1
New England vs. San Diego - Home game for the Bolts. - 1
Giants vs. Cleveland - The NFL needs a mercy rule. - 0 |
