That people who dont know , shouldnt talk . hmmm what else. Oh, and what I said is still true for the most part. Except all of Europe isnt sitting on the side of Israel. You guys definitely want them swept into the sea. If you want to debate that fact the Europe hates Israel and wouldnt mind the arab nations wiping them out, start a new thread adressing that topic. |

I've been to America 2 times, great country, nice people nothing wrong with it, but when I hear you say that America is the best country in the world, the most powerfull nation in the world and all that other nonsense.. just makes me sick
if you were so damn powerfull why is Osama Bin Laden still alive, how can they attack you on your own territory, America isn't the best country in the world, no one has the right to say that....
and about the aid, Holland is the country that gives the most aid in the whole world!! and that's a fact.... I don't give a damn about that, it doesn't makes Holland the best country in the world
being patriottic is good, but you can go out of line, it is because of people like Orbax that 9/11 happened, he is the reason that people hate the Americans so much... |

Lovely. You "elucidate" one of my questions, by saying that I am ignorant and using ridicolous exaggerations and then ignore the rest of them.
For your information I can tell you that I do know a lot about Internet traffic, and as long as the spread of ADSL and Cable in the states is at the point where it is now, I don't think you should consider the speed of the main grid.
For somebody, who obviously thinks of himself as intelligent, I find it puzzling that you cannot see that your hate posts do not benefit your cause. Or do you simply try to provoce thought? |

Was actually hoping to read some good arguments in this thread WHY I shouldn't dislike the US, but this thread has probably more than anything in the last month just furthered my hate for the US, shame,

I'll just stop with two other tidbits, the US did NOT save Europe in WW2, Russia did, which you would know if you read your history.
Oh yeah, did anyone else know that the US and Somalia is the only two countries in the world that have not signed the UN convention on childrens rights? |

Of course I don't wanna live in the US, I wanna live in the Netherlands, which seems to be the best country in the world atm.
Then again, I have these grand illusions on how wonderful everything would be in the Netherlands, I really need to go there to confirm them, or get dissapointed, :p |

for a start, that thread coup made... i dont think it was a serious thread. its a joke, and that is something a lot of americans cant handle... americans do not understand european humour so this is maybe the root of the problem. mit was meant as a piss-take. and if u were european you would understand that we take the piss out of ourselves probably more than the US.
secondly, why dont americans seem to understand WHY so much of the world dislikes them? because they are too far up their own arses to see the reasons. sorry to put this bluntly (and im not saying every single US citizen is up their arse) but its true. that episode of southpark that was shown last friday here in the UK put it beautifully... it was the one where they went to afghanistan.. it showed how american pride is taken way too seriously, and it also showed just how div-like the american people can be. this isnt thru any fault of their own, just the way that u guys are brought up and taught in school. in SP... a scene in afghanistan where the boys are talkin to afghan boys... the afghan boys say they hate america, kyle stan etc thought that everywhere loves america but discovered this was not true.
fact is, ppl love to hate americans. dont take it so personally, grow a sense of humour :) |

| it is true that alot of americans dont understand why many foreigners dislike america but on the other hand there are many americans who do know why and would like to see change in our countries ways. but i dont think anyone could really blame americans for being americans because many americans have not experienced prolonged periods of their life outside of america, and dont really find any need to. not to be seen as overly patriotic of my country but i do think the united states is a great country and a great place to live given the right circumstances. the only major thing i see wrong with america nowadays is its foreign policy, imo i think we should just ditch isreal cuz staying there will just cause more (perhaps catastrophic) problems. its probably a one sided opinion but oh well. |
