That's the funniest thing I've read all day.
Although maybe they're humorous in an ironic sense, in that the "typical" Mac user they supposedly glorify is an obnoxious preening douchenozzle who makes you want to punch him in the face with his own nutsack with every puerile word that comes out of his clamorous mouth. But I don't think that's the type of humour they were shooting for.
Microsoft has, for once, actually taken the high road. They've answered the accusation that they cater to a bunch of philistines, without escalating it into the schoolyard bullying that Apple and its fanboys all seem to be so very fond of.
+1 Totally agree with you...and you sound a lot like maddox haha
What's funny is the Advertising agency used macs :P and now the fanboys are having a field day with it.

In Apple's case, our OS system is better than Vista, which has a lot of bugs.

what are they trying to achieve there?:) at least in PC vs. MAC it's actually humorous
this just left me with a "so?"
I think the commercial is fantastic!!! It's not meant to be funny, and I completely agree with everyone who was talking about advertising without beating down your competition etc etc.. taking the high road.
I like how they showed so many diverse "users" so anyone watching can relate to at least one person in some way. Makes the brand more 3-dimensional.
Also, I've never really had huge problems with vista.. obviously there was a learning curve but that's normal. Those who say it sucks, say why.. am I missing something? LOL .. works for me.. :thepirate

all apple ads are done by Media Arts Lab which is an offshoot of JWT Los Angeles that was created BY apple....this facility apparently has the highest security that not even JWT employees can walk into the complex and everything is highly top secret until launch.
the "I'm a Mac" commercials are really annoying and even more annoying to know that the guy that plays mac actually dislikes them and has said it on occasion as well.
the "I'm a PC" campaign is basically showing how windows and well "non Macs" are a more universal thing by showing people from all walks of life, all over the world sharing something in common and thereby has a higher impact rather than advertising this big package that u pay over 2.5 Gs for and have to chuck out should u wish to upgrade

How is this an awesome counter commercial?
Microsoft just proved to everyone they lack 0 creativity, and 0 ability to do anything unique, without biting Apple.
Microsoft just doesn't get it.

If they didn't do this, their reputation would continue to be on by Apple.
Only an Apple apologist would say what you just said. MAC USER FOUND, GET OUT

lol. I think a lot of people are missing the point of the ad. Compare market share of PC vs Mac. Mac is like a blip. I mean, have your MAC to edit photos and make cute vlogs but serious business uses PC and worldwide PC is tops.

Some of the recent "I'm a PC" ads were created on a Mac, go figure.
Microsoft posted screenshots of these ads on their website, and some (a few) people found that the image was from Adobe Photoshop CS3 on the Macintosh platform. After this got out, Microsoft scrambled to replace the image, which they did.
