Funny thing... at Circus it seems the city is living a big boom. A new generation is taking over... that's all.

We are more than well served in Montreal.

The electro world didn't have Coda 2 years ago.

The prog world didn't have tribe 2 years ago.

The trance world didn't have circus 2 years ago. And Rave des Pompiers now has 800-900 peeps, it was 400-500 at gravity 2 years ago !!!

For tech... missing promoters and venues if i repeat what techno djs say... but that goes with the crowd usually... daomé is doing a great job since ever... Piknic is also great... how many years now ? Aria used to be the only known venue for proper techno... So it's still better today.

Carl Cox at Opera

Dusty Kid at Telus

EDM is all over !!!

come on francis, you don't think it is normal for a club to be more successful when they become the only option?
Fran666
yes i do, but not yet... doesn't have the impact we were expecting yet... but it's only normal... it took me at least 6 months to bring my friends from aria to circus.

i don't have that much people calling me this year that used to call me last year... there is a big change in my own crowd. Really younger...

but check the djs i promote... young too... etienne ozborne, king louis, axel klein, vivie ann... all under 25...
elFreak
i will add for the tech thing there are too many smaller promotions competing with each other instead of putting their efforts together.

i agree 100%....

if daomé djs and promoters were to do gallery... i'm sure that the job would be better than mine... they are specialist, i'm a generalist lol

No more peurfs, no more krinker, no more drama and a whole lot less interesting.

Just a billion event threads that no one cares about, all the reviews are crap now too.

"Great night. Great music. Lololololol"

Gay man, gay .

I seriously worry if this forum is at all a reflection of the scene in Montreal right now, ZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZ.

TECHNO FUHRER !

I did.

And I agree with you Freak about the number of small promoters !

I still remember when Dizzy and Telephunk were BOTH doing Tuesday minimal/tech-house nights ! Then it became Dizzyphunk. Such collabs must continue !

Montreal is a small metropolis, that's a fact. So we need more showcases featuring many promoters !
