Just be glad you don't live in the US and have some of your medical paid for!

At least the doctor visits are covered....would you rather that not be paid for and still have to pay for dental and eye care?

if the purpose of OHIP is to provide for basic health needs and improve quality of life of avg citizen, any other medical insurance shouldn't be necessary.

Canada also isn't a perfect socialist society. and griping bitching ona web forum isn't going to get optical and dental stuff covered by OHIP. so why not just get some 3rd party health insurance to help cover the costs of what isn't covered by OHIP.

Hmm.

I think people that are on welfare, get some stuff covered, yes?

If you are blind go on disability and they will pay for everything.

Also, don't forget to claim your health costs on your income tax.

I work for the govt. Govt benefits are pretty darn good (though pain in the ass to access it)

OHIP needs improvement... hence why I rant (and make fun of politicians):p

Eeeep! I miss OHIP!

Ive recently moved out to Columbus Ohio, and recently needed to get my thyroid levels checked. God how I miss being able to just head to my doctor, drop the card and head on in. $200 bucks just to see a doctor and get blood drawn. That doesnt include the diagnosis, prescription etc.
Also, Im a firm believer that OHIP should cover at the very least, SOME dental. Even if just for children. That stuff adds up hardcore

BRUSH UR ING TEETH! Its bad enough we have to pay for all these people who smoked there hole life and now live in a cancer hospital. I'd rather my taxes not go to s who cant find 5 mins to brush there teeth each day!
