Going to the dentist (rant about OHIP)

Why is it so bloody expensive?
Better question is, why isn't it covered by OHIP?
More I think about this, more I'm wondering why BASIC medical needs, like eyeglasses, dental care aren't covered. So much for socialist medical care.
Thank goodness work covers my dental expenses like 90% (I think). Still need to get a root canal done and I shudder to think how much that will cost.
Moral of the story: OHIP sucks. Oh, and floss and brush your teeth daily |

Thats their argument...
And the government subsidizes some of the cost if you need them to don't they???

If I don't have glasses, I can't bloody see.
If I don't have good teeth, I can't chew food and/or be in pain from toothache.

my work is soo amazing,, i get 100% coverage.. and if i want braces (which i plan on getting in the future) they cover 1/2 of the price!

In other words, you don't have to get expensive glasses...
They sell them at Walmart for $20 a pair...
So you have to go to the dentist every once in a while...
Won't cost that much if you take good care of your teeth...
And anyone who wants a good job can get one... never mind the recession bull... |
