I gotta say that he has really changed, according to his recent tracklists. I'm happy I can say i went to see Tiesto at his best years (2004-2005). I won't go to this one if it's more than 60 USD.
Wowjimmy
What is running through these peoples minds? $150.00 and a $15.00 surcharge. I like Tiesto and New Years but not that much to pay $165.00 and paying an additional $150.00 for a damn open bar is ridiculous, I have never spent $150.00 on alcohol in one night. I have better things to do with $165.00 than to waste it on seeing Tiesto for 5 hours.

Eh..its NYE...the one night where anything and everything will be exploited to its fullest, just because there will always be ppl willing to pay those prices and megafans of Tiesto, not to mention visitors/tourists wanting to ring in the New Year by clubbing.

I wouldn't mind seeing him since I've tired of the other top 10 djs but DEF not as those prices. And Roseland yes its a decent venue...but its not Hammerstein nor is it MSG -- now that would be a different situation. And only FIVE hrs?! Please, NYEs not *that* momentous of an occasion for me to want to throw that $ out there just to prove I'm a baller. :haha:

going out on NYE is overrated

the most i did was went to pacha new years day last year and i had a blast
i was goin to make this event my "first nye in a club" but between those prices and now unsure of who the afterhours dj will be
it dont really add up

First of all let me tell u one thing Tiesto gigs are not just about the music, its more about the feel and the vibe, tiesto is not just a DJ he is a showman, The lights, the visuals, the fireworks, flying pieces of paper in air, the giant LED screen, sea full of ppl with their hands in the air!! And on a big night like this im sure it will be insane. Who cares if the set is not on the edge? if we go see some other dj who plays a great to the point set, we will be missing all the awsome visual etc. so we dont really mind. i mean im not a tiesto fan. but y do u wanna bash him for no reason? OK if he plays classics everyone says he plays same tracks over and over, if he does not play classics u complain about it. I mean seriously i agree he plays other pplz music a lot lately but do u think he has time to produce? go look at his schedule, almost every day hes playing a sold out arena in a new country. u know how hard it is to set urself to a new timezone everyday with no jet lag? Do u know any other DJ that can pull that off?

anyways my point is no matter how much u hate him or write negetive comments about and tell ppl to save their money, they are gonna still go see him. hes bigger than anyone can imagine. Prolly the second coming of Christ.

:haha: :haha:

Seeing that price just made me pretty much yell out "OH MY GOD" in the middle of work.....

Yea, i dunno if Im gunna go, Thats a lot, and everything else is gunna be overpriced and crowded in NYC on NYE anyways,.. traffic, parking costs included, itll end up being a 400 dollar trip when i know that all my friends are gunna be partying for free elsewhere,.. i dunno, it sounds real good, and id still be upset to miss it but 150 man.. thats kinda like exploiting the fans in my opinion, if he can do it, he will though, so oh well. if it were last year when i was most hyped about tiesto i probably would spend it, but eh.. i dunno tough decisionnnn..

:nervous: :nervous:

Of course hes not a DJ a ing joke of showman, I really could careless about stunts, specials effects and all that garbage he puts into concerts, I just need the music to be playing all night. I have seen some video clips of these concert type gigs, I really don't need the music to stop so I can some silly performance but bikers or clowns, who the needs to see that at club.

But on the other hand he probably keep that stuff to a limit over here. My concerns for is that its going to be full retards swing drinks around and I damn sure that there will no vibe what-so-ever and the prices is to steep.

I doubt that it's gonna be a concert style gig, I suppose the only time the music might stop will be be for the ball dropping. Not for nothing though, I attended the 3 Tiesto In Concerts in Holland/Belgium in 2004, and I must say to people that are skeptical, it's not what you think, I know the DVD might be misleading to some, but it was one of the sickest experiences that one could ever encounter in one's lifetime. He was so good, I almost broke down and cried, and I know for a fact I'm not gay. Very, very emotional and intense; and the tracks he played brought you on the sickest journey.

Songs such as: Fred Baker- Total Blackout, Mojado- El Toro, Terry Bones & Fred Baker Present Water Planet- Introspection, Fred Baker- Confirmation, Randy Katana- One Solid Wave( Sam Sharp Remix), Fractal Sequence- Lost Structure, Remy & Roland- Till Ya Drop, Sander Van Doorn- Dark Roast, Push vs. Globe- Tranceformation, Rank 1- Beats@Rank 1.com. Just a few of many highlights.... Yeah this guy kept it real, with a perfect combination of Tech/Uplifting. Oh yeah and his mixing skills...phenomenal.

I must tell you, I'm real picky when it comes to trance, because alot of it is cheesy and boring, and I just feel like spitting on some songs, but nevertheless, I still have love for it.

Tiesto is gonna deliver on NYE. He's always said NYC is one of his favorite places to play. I'd pay $150 for it, besides, it's gonna be a 24 hour party anyway. Matter of fact, I'm going VIP and I'm paying for my boy too, about $600.
