Not flaming, but out of curiousity, why? Live seems to be the closest DAW to fruity in a lot of ways...

A98, that sounds just like Lives except that in Live you only use it to change the delay on audio which has come off the soundcard which might be a bit delayed, so its less work. That's what I use the clip start position for too, since midi is usually in sync with live - although sometimes I use delay compensation on a slow pad...

there's a latecy compensation for individual mixer tracks in the latest FL aswell.

besides, if you're gonna export everything to audio (as most people do with hardware), the latency doesn't matter.
and you can always throw the vsti plugin out and do it in the old fashion way with midi and audio cables :)

Whereabouts are the latency compensation settings A98?

There is some truth to this... but also a lot of bull and excuses.

Not only multithreaded prorgamming is much harder, it's also much riskier, a multithreaded app is likely to have more bugs, and thread-related ones are of a much higher level to fix...

I read between the lines: "I can't be bothered".

Multicore processors are here to stay. He can either rewrite his program, or continue to lose customers because of it. Every other professional audio app handles multiple threads better than FL, so this is the sort of cop-out attitude that has made me buy Cubase.
