a nucular Iran is pretty much a done deal. they will go unincumbered into the atomic age at the expense of a feckless Europe and an appeasing Russia.

"Neocons", whatever that means at the moment, will have to rely on spy agencies around the globe infiltrating and destroying the program from within...somehow.

it's my opinion that the Israelis know their limits as to what can be done about their mortal enemy's highly defenced, and scattered program and won't be able to take out what they think they need to take out with their current arsenal. chalk one up for the Mullahs.

if only palin could have brought her vast experience to bear earlier, this calamity might have been avoided.

if only you could bring more intelectually to the table than just demonizing a mother of five who does more to change the world she lives in before noon everyday than you could by the time you're able to fill your 2 Tbyte RAID with episodes of Deep Space Nine and Hentai porn.;)

If Iran gets Nuke, then so what, just another country with nukes. at this point in the game the world isnt doing jack to Iran except giving them what they want. The U.S. isnt going in Alone and Israel knows better than messing with them without U.S. Approval.

i hate star trek, RAID is a waste of time, i like asian chicks not cartoons, and my hard drive would be much the same size as yours.

with that out of the way...

what would you like me to say? that this is possibly the first good decision by bush re foreign policy in some time? maybe he wants someone else to get blood on their hands for a change.

its also the first time ive ever seen you criticise your own party though, so id like to congratulate you on that one :)

never criticized Bush foreign policy and i'm not starting now.

i've always tried talking down the kids here thinking Buler was going to march into Iran like Saladin on a white horse. it was never going to happen with or without Iraqi Freedom. i don't know if you've noticed yet but i'm pretty jaded when it comes to media driven alarmism

i've always accepted the fact that Iran buried their primary activities so far underground and scattered redundancy all over the place it make it impossible to take out quickly with conventional weapons. we cant put them back even 5 years with any certainty using conventionals so what would be the point?

i've always advocated effective international isolation and strength through multi-lateral diplomacy.

Ok Q, you're asking for it. Why should we trust Sarah Palin to protect our interests in the Middle East from a nuclear Iran? And what is it exactly that she's accomplishing before noon everyday that makes her a good candidate for Vice President of the United States.

In case you haven't noticed, being a mother of 5 isn't exactly something you put on your resume when running for the second highest executive office in the country.

edit: and is there any issue, in your view, that Sarah Palin is more knowledgeable on than yourself? I'm being 100% serious with that one. Do you think she has more foreign policy knowledge than you do?

Why's Palin even an issue if everyone thinks Obama going to get in anyways?

We really should be talking about the Gaffe-a-day-Biden!! :nervous:

unfortunately, i think the administration should have green lighted the action. The reasons I say this are because the current administration has condemned the out of iran, and our government is not going to stop supporting israel anytime soon. Because of the way our government has treated Iran, our administration has ensured iran is an enemy of the US (I don't like the idea of a known enemy with ties to terrorists having nukes - and iran is not like NK in that iran is run by religious nutjobs and is the most volatile region in the world, thus, i don't really think NK has ties to terrorists that would attack the US). Also, our support of israeli is a huge reason for our current problem with 'fundamental islamic terrorists'. While we can't say for certain that iran would provide nuclear weapons to terrorists, we also can't say they won't (better safe than sorry). While allowing israeli to destroy nuclear facilities may result in retaliation, at least it would hinder iran's capabilities. My opinion would be different if the government's positions were different. If we stopped condemning iran for everything they did and didn't have almost unfettered support for israeli i would agree. It seems to me that the administration position here doesn't reflect its overall foreign policy goals (which btw...i don't agree with). BTW...my position in principle is not to allow israel to bomb iran, however, if we don't change our stance on support for israel and our treatment of iran i think allowing israel to conduct the actions is the better route.

Everyone thinks Obama is going to get in anyway? News to me.

I'll take a gaffe in the form of Biden publicly disagreeing with Obama over a dunce of a Vice President who would lead us to oblivion should anything happen to the man with horrible judgment who chose her.
