To send a quick e-mail or return a phone call is not difficult to do....why intentionlly piss off a customer when a simple response with an explanation is all that is being asked for.
From the videos I've seen none of them portray the club in a negative way. If the videos are being used for profit/marketing reasons then the Guvernment has every right to not allow someone to video the performance. If its for personal use and they are still not allowing access with the camcorder then they shouldn't allow any recording devices into the club unless you have authorization from the club. |

him posting the videos on his radioxex website to improve site traffic is a form of "profit". it also doesnt help the situation when he wears a radioxex lanyard with badge around his neck to give people the impression that he is media when he doesnt have the permission/clearance from the venue. i think thats where the problem lies. |

I am sorry to hear about what happened, but are we all looking at it from the perspective of the victim. What about the club and the Dj's and the strict rules that need to be followed. Privacy acts and no picture clauses. Have we thought there may have been complaints.
Sorry to hear about it what happened but maybe it is time to do it by the books, just like everyone else. |

Perhaps the "tag" I wore was a bad idea with little for-site in mind. I was looking at it from the point of view that someone might recognise it and say hi and maybe chat about prior videos. The thought of misusing it to mislead others to think I was in there under some type of official capacity never occurred to me. It's possible, as Chinamon suggests, that this led me into this unfortunate circumstance. It's hindsite now and there's no way to reverse it, just thinking of a way to patch things up. This is why I want to speak to anyone at Guv who'll listen to clarify things.
As for the DJ's... not a single one that I know of, including Lawler, Benassi, Yoji, Joee Cons, Deko-Ze, Jayforce and the rest, have said anything negative about my vids. I've been in contact with every single one of them and it's all been positive. Lawlers ppl hunted me down to ask me permission to use my video of him on his MySpace page. Yoji's ppl are considering lending me his recorded set so that I can overlay a good track on his vid when it goes to HD. Micheal (Deko-Ze) and the rest have given compliments. Not a single one has said anything to the contrary. I'm sure if I were to get a hold of Armin or his ppl, they would probably want a copy of his stuff.
It was never my intention to go behind Guv's back on anything. It just evolved from my first camcorder to the current one. Also, after three years of free reign around the club in full view off all security and Guv staff, with no one ever approaching me, how am I supposed to think what I was doing was somehow wrong? If it was my first or second video and I got shut down, then fine. It's been 3 years and over 20 vids between Google and YouTube without a peep from any Guv management. Hopefully you can see my outlook on it.
I'm not dumb and I can respect Guv's view on it, it's just they could have handled it a bit more tactfully and give me some type of heads up and voice their opinion. They've certainly had more than enough time for it. It's not like I've not been trying for the past several months to get their blessings. I actually was trying to get permission to be on stage with the DJ's and not just on the floor with my arm stretched high up trying to record the crowd and the DJ. |

my take (I never watched your videos btw, so nothing personal):
They've seen your videos, they didn't like them and they don't want you to produce more material. It's all about image and they want to control that (like any other buisness on earth).
They might permit people to film there, but these people don't post videos online.
The other way around is true also, if they had liked your stuff, they would've contacted you to use them, and reach a deal. |

I dont think thats it, the videos are good, and they make the club look like a fun place to be, therefore a good marketing tool
they probably feel that he is using the videos for his own personal benefit... free of charge
and I would assume there is some sort of copyright issue |

Seems like there's quite a bit of misunderstanding going on. I can see Malek's view being quite valid as well.
Eh. The Guv's PR department needs work. Nothing new about that. |

i have never seen the videos, i'll take your word about them being good.
But that doesn't mean they like them. He might have filmed things in there that don't fit with the image the Guv wants to project.
I'm working in this buisness and it's all about the image. |

| i think if his videos are good or bad is irrelevant. if they dont want a certain person taking video for commercial use then that is enough reason... and the fact that he kinda deceived people doesnt help his situation either. |

another explanation, if a dj complained to the guvernment about a video, then your done too.
Just by using their logo, it makes it look like they're sponsoring you, approving of your videos, which is not the case.
It happened to me once:crazy: |
