I can't find a thread on this...

What is this party like? Anyone have any more details? My friends and I are coming from DC and don't see much info on it.

We'd also like to hit up Vanguard to see Sasha that night as well.

this party is a big halloween rave located in the USC coliseum which is a huge basketball arena. It has one main stage, and couple of side stages outside in tents. (20,000 + capacity) can be more than that

this is a massive event, probably one of the most packed rave all year in Los Angeles, it's HOT!!! dont be too crazy on costumes! it's packed, u will lose your friends and ur cellphone will not work because eveyrone using the network tyring to find friends.

but... i tend to have a lot of fun at MM every time i go, despite all of the above. i think the costumes that people wear are very creative and is just fun watching different ones...

another negative side is that the djs they book every year is always very similar... but if you're coming from DC than this is not to miss.
Judge Jules always put a great closing set!!!!

Definitely worth going if you have never been in one! It's a massive Halloween rave, but doesn't mean that you have to dress up. It's also all ages, so you'll see 7 years old kids walking around with their parents. :D

Just like Mecca said, it has one HUGE indoor main stage, capacity about more than 15,000. Very very easy to lose your friends, even though you walk side by side together. It's an indoor stadium + seating areas circling the dance floor. Other stages are located outside, usually inside tents. Kinda like a maze to go through other stages, but they're definitely worth checking out. Below is my guideline to Monster Massive :)

MONSTER MASSIVE 101:

- Access to bars/waters/restrooms are plenty, and IMO they're pretty clean. It's NOT like those portable restrooms, more like indoor restrooms as if you're going into a mall.

- Don't bother checking your phone or sending txt messages while you're inside, cuz you ain't getting them until later in the morning.

- If you drink a lot, you should get the VIP pass. Last year they give out free vodka/water. I think the line wasn't that bad.

- Come early, probably take about 60-70 minutes to get in. If you get the VIP there's a VIP line to get in, probably take only 10 minutes max to get in.

- Parking is just around the corner and should be plenty, but be prepared to spend $40 on parking.

- If you're going in groups, you should come in together and find a designated meeting place. Don't bother looking for friend(s) if you're already inside, the chance of finding them is 1/1000.

- It's HOT inside, my guess is that it should be around 80 degrees (or more). Wear something comfy, and if you decide to take off your clothes, make sure you don't lose them because it's going to get COLD as hell as you leave the building.

- All and all, have fun! It's going to be a helluva trip! :D:D:D

I would wear the most comfortable shoes and clothes that you have. Layer it up, maybe wear a t shirt underneath a track jacket or windbreaker. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time like able said because you don't want to be getting in halfway through the night as it does take at least an hour to get in. Also, if i'm not mistaken, we turn the clocks forward that night so you lose an hour so you might want to take that into account. i.e 3 o'clock is really 4 o'clock and the night is over. Might want to plan around that as well.

No you don't. :p The time may change but business remains the same til later on. So don't count on an extra hr of buying booze or the event lasting an extra hr (new time). ;)
