don't be so hard on yourself rob.
i graduated in may and i'm still unemployed! getting to the end of my sanity now. living at home. no $$$.
it's hard out there right now, finding a good job that is. |
Yeah, I can relate to all of that pretty well right now, but I think my sanity went out the window recently and I've really just been incapable of stopping myself from asking "Really? This is what I bust my ass for 5 years for? To wind up where I am right now?"
Anyway, I'm sure you understand - and I really, really hope that you find something soon. I don't wish the circumstances in which we finished school on anyone. |

anxiety is a real thing that must be dealt with...see a doctor.
also: you have not failed unless you have done this at least twice.

Rob did you seriously expect to come out of school and everything fall into place? That takes years, and for some never happens. |

I guess not, but I don't know - it's hard not to compare yourself to your friends and peers, and when they're doing everything you wish you could be and thought you'd be able to....
...ah , I don't even want to finish that sentence. I feel like a douchebag for even thinking it. |

What is your degree in? |

if people spent all their life judging themselves for what they had vs what others do, 99% of the world would kill themselves. There will always be those with better or more, use it as a motivation, not de motivation.
What you thought was bull, as you had no idea what to base these thoughts on due to lack of actual experience. You are going to learn a lot more now than in school. Don't be a defeatist! You are really young man, lots of life left. If you get into the wrong frame of mind (as you are now), it will make everything harder. and fail are only and fail if you do not learn from it and use it to better yourself. |

That's the key right there - when you feel like everything you've put every effort into, everything you've worked so ing hard for, suddenly seems worthless.
It is an absolutely soul-shattering experience. |

you need to stop comparing yourself to this image that you project onto your friends and peers. just because you assume everyone is doing so much better doesn't mean that they don't have to deal with also.
edit // what Jay said, too. |
