The ticket price was based (amongst other things) on the talent that was coming, so there were 4 big DJs on the bill, but only 3 ended up showing up, call me crazy but it would have made sense to lower the price to reflect that, no? What of the peeps that paid to see Junkie but didn't get what they paid for?

I'm not complaining, just pointing it out :)

ie: armin or PVD in NYC....... $60 for tiestor.

$40 is very typical for one night here, and this for people at a lower "standing" than the above mentioned.

in the overall scheme of things, the night was good. not great, but good.

heading to the guv, randomly walked into eviltree which was a suprise. after chilling for a bit, we headed to the guv only to be suprised that the KH entrance was closed even though all the barricades were set up. luckily, we found a group of TAs in the normal line. it was great meeting some of the new TAs as well.

getting in, the guv seemed really empty. i really was expecting a lot more people. same thing happened when we walked into the KH and were welcomed with lots and lots of room to dance. mind you, this is around 1:30-1:45, when it's usually packed all the way to the back.

this was my third time seeing ferry and i do enjoy his sets, but more than half of the tracklist is too predictable. don't get me wrong, i love the classics but they just don't hold as much meaning when they are played in every one of his sets. to me, a classic track should be brought out once every so often to tease the crowd. otherwise, it becomes a regular track that's just old and doesn't have that special place that it should. to end on a happy note, i did like that remix of madagascar. it's been updated to 2008 but still keeps its classic sound.

btw, did ferry play a breakfast track at about the 1 hour mark into his set by an chance?

wel stanton warriors in the drink were nuts + a very good dnb lineup in the orange room
i think it's worth it, plus people complain about lack of space, this was good.

Off topic a bit, I think the turnout wasn't that great because of
1) Thanksgiving and
2) tickets cost too much for an event with only 3 big acts(price should have been reduced once Junkie XL cancelled)
3) circa

holy f'in bananas :eyes: :eyes:

I would agree that usually Ferry's sets are predictable however, last night his set was VERY VERY different from a typical Ferry set and I think a lot ppl would agree...almost a 360 degree change in his style

That's not what I'm saying, I'm saying that the event was advertised for a while with 4 DJs on the list, and only 3 ended up showing up.

I bet if ticket prices were lower, they would have attracted a larger crowd, given all the things they had to deal with (Circa, Thanksgiving) ... just a thought.

His set was 100% uplifting trance, given what Ferry used to play just a couple of years ago, definitely a 360 degree turnaround.
