I would agree that usually Ferry's sets are predictable however, last night his set was VERY VERY different from a typical Ferry set and I think a lot ppl would agree...almost a 360 degree change in his style |
agreed! even with lots of recent tunes, the style seemed more of ferry of 2004, before LEF and electrotrance trash. not a lot of vocals (well, bad vocal trance) nicely distributed throughout the set.
also agreed about classic ferry tunes too. though it's good for noobs who never saw ferry live. (poor veronica who didn't know what punk and synaesthesia was) :p |

Sander absolutely destroyed the main room..bomb after bomb. can anybody id the tracks he played. I remember hearing Pressure (Cedric gervais mix) and This is the End (Dirty South mix).
Prydz probably had more fun than anybody yesterday. It was quite hilarious. He played some great tunes. The track he played at around 2 was insane
Can anyone please id that track..it was deep and melodic and there was just one word in it. His last hour was fantastic.
There was so much space to dance yesterday. perfect for Sander.
Conclusion. GREAT night  |

That's not what I'm saying, I'm saying that the event was advertised for a while with 4 DJs on the list, and only 3 ended up showing up.
I bet if ticket prices were lower, they would have attracted a larger crowd, given all the things they had to deal with (Circa, Thanksgiving) ... just a thought. |
well i think they might have dropped the price at the door because i heard it was supposed to be $55 originally but i cannot confirm this.
and tickets were available on wantickets.com for $25 until yesterday. |

Hooly Ferry killed it last night and I normaly dont say this about any of those dutch Djs anymore.
This was my first time seeing him since 2004. I wasnt expecting anything at all.I was waiting for to hear his typical electro garbage bull but as Nada already mentioned his style totally changed.I think he is going back to his roots and playing what he used to love aka TRANCE MUSIC.
 :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop:
p.s. looks like we are finally over with electro.:gsmile: |

when I got there prydz was just starting... at first he was brutal, playing melodic tracks that were too slow. but half an hour later the room went off when he played rymd... and it was great from there. he played a lot of his own tracks and prog with electro & old school basslines.. he even threw sweet dreams and blue monday in :) his set had much more cohesion than the one he played this time last year
when sander came on he played a chemical bros track.. def killed the 4/4 vibe that was going on, people just got confused haha. but he picked it up again with more synthy bassline style prog (sasha style i guess).. ron hardy said (eric prydz remix) and everything you touch (sasha remix) gave me eargasms, and a bunch of similar songs that i wish i had IDs for.. he switched it up a bit too with some techno and tribally grooves once in awhile, never really got boring at all
and prydz antics were indeed hilarious... at one point he was chugging a 26er of grey goose in one arm and was dry humping sander while he was mixing.. i was waiting for him to fall off the outer edge of the dj booth he was stumbling over
i only fit in about an hour of ferry, but people are right about it not being the style at all of his last 2 years. it seemed to be genuine trance, he ditched the poppy stuff of LEF/passport to USA which seemed like it was his unique sound when i was into him in 06-07.
i went into the night with little expectations and they were exceeded, for once everything just fell into place.. crowd was alright but perfect amount of people. $50 at the door did seem a little steep but good thing there were tons of $25 tickets on wantickets even 3 days away from the event :P |

oh Sasha!!!:D:D:D...haha I remember them both spinning at a club in Amsterdam two summers ago and Sander was simply brutal... I guess he has learned lol even last year in MTL when he closed the party after Sasha and Digweed his set felt out of place and we left...
ty I missed his set last night ..oh well next time! |
