Why is that funny :conf:
As far as I knew, representing your state and being in all sorts of high performance training squads is a junior elite level, but hey what the hell do I know |
That's a great achievement and I'm impressed, but I don't think basketballers are "elite athletes".
Skillful, yes, fit, yes, talented, yes. Elite athletes, no. |

Back on topic: I've never understood why people need workout tapes and the like to tell them what do to.
How hard is it to do pushups and crunches in your lounge without some boof-head "formulating" the work out for you? |

because physical training requires stimulus to enhance your performance (mind-body)
Not sure, it's just a thought... |

No, not really. Is that the text that tells us that we should not use our kama sutra skills with random strangers because that can give us bad karma? :p |

| Basketballers are elite athletes. If you want to measure a variety of athletic characteristics like quickness, speed, agility, power to weight ratio, vertical leap you will likely find that they are exceptional at all of them. Those are all pure, raw athletic and not specialized abilities. I would put them on the same level as gymnasts, sprinters, and wide-receivers/running backs. |

I'd throw swimmers into that group. @ college I went through a week of training with my swimmer roommate (including pool workouts) and it was literally the toughest workout week I've ever done in my life.
we'd wake up at insane hours, and spend 3-4 hours a day doing nothing but grueling excersizes. by the end of that week i added about 300 meters to my Cooper test. (and that's just after a WEEK). amazing. |
