It's also because his music sounds amazing on a big system - similar to Babicz, Buttrich, Prydz, etc...
Mastering your music to sound great on a quality system is only part of the equation. I don't care how crisp or clear a song sounds; if it lacks creativity/originality, has a terrible melody or poor phrasing, etc., then it's still a bad tune. He could have the best-mastered, best-sounding tunes in the world on a big system but they can still be utter .

Aside from personal opinions about the quality of a tune, variety in produced tracks is vital to the survival of any artist. Something he doesn't have. All his tracks sound the same.
DjWhooCares

Welcome to 2004.
mezzir
after seeing a video of his setup at home, where the hell did he get the money for all that ?
assuming he hasn't bought all that in the last year

blacknoizybox

All right, this is becoming irrelevant. And this is not the funny kind of irrelevance.
Unless we talk about the cunthood of dj's, and whether Joel is right, there's no discussion. While some of you criticise his music, claiming it's not even music, he's enjoying a reasonable amount of success in his field and he's on tour thanks to that. What's the point?
In the end, if you want to criticise him, produce some awesome music. It's a win-win situation ;)
