or even weirder, several people I barely knew in high school who ended up going to mcmaster as well.. the kind that are too stuck up or lack the social skills to say hi or nod when you make eye contact walking by, whatever, that's cool. but then they add you to facebook and then start saying hi to you after that. what the

or people that I went to highschool with and never talked to at all.. then then add me years later :conf:

Yes, I live a dull, drab existence. I'm still sitting here waiting for a pity message. Laura, I know you didn't remove me from your list during your 'purge', so com'on, show me some love!!!!

I use facebizzle for networking, promoting and occasionaly my personal dating service. Apart of that is "friend collecting". I have random people adding me everyday and I'm adding other random people, based on similar music/nightlife interests/industry.

If I deleted everyone who I'm either a casual friend, aquaintances, industry peers and people I don't really talk to, I'd have exactly 5 friends, not including my brother or sister and 2 cousins. I talk to those 5 people almost daily.

take it for what it is...a social networking website and try not to read into it too much.

I'm not even sure what my point is here, but if I just had a really really really cute girl with an even cuter bum leave my house about 20 mins ago after a sleep over party, who I met through facebizzle, it can't be all that bad to have randoms on your account.

maybe my point was just to broadcast that I got laid last night and you didn't. How's that for a "news feed update"?

It doesn't bother me at all. And we post no more events than any other event organizers that run weekly club nights. We try to keep our event pages to 1 a week and some weeks there's a bit more because there's a special event that week or we're helping out some friends with their shows.

Ive gone on a deleting spree as well.

Getting rid of all the Promoters and DJs that I dont know, and removing myself from all the promoter's groups. I am so ing tired of getting 20+ emails a day about events. Especially the ones in Hamilton, Buffalo, Kitchener...

This new generation of promoting sucks.

/ends rant

well at least london's not on the list. :tongue2

My Facebook is a mess.

But MySpace, I still hate you far more.

I've definitely done that too. My FB is definitely due for a cleaning.

I was also thinking that now that I'm in a professional school I should make a 2nd FB that doesn't have pictures and lots of information about me so that I can keep that strictly business. But when I think about it, it'd be SO much work to re-add all the ppl I want on that FB and having 2 FB accounts is not that appealing to me.

P.S. Laura...I remember when you used to tell me how many friends you had on MySpace, and when you made a MySpace page for me, just so you could ad me :tongue2 That was also like 5 years ago though hahaha
