The difficulty of high school depends on where you go and which classes you take.

I hope I'll never again be as stupid and directionless as I was in high school.

I'm having the best times of my life right now, and I think things will only get better.

Well let's see...

French
English as a second language
Math
Phys Ed.
Those are the only classes you took? You didn't take Calculus? Physics? Chemistry? Art? Drama? Computers? Independent Living? Cooking? Media of some sort? Health?

I took all the above and definitely use them today.

hardly. college is where it's at. and even life after school isn't bad.

When I went to University I found a lot of my friends there went completely wild since they'd never lived away from home before.

For me, I'd been at boarding school for several years and it was old hat. We had a pub on the school grounds that we used heavily several times a week, we had 'evenings' with the girls, we smoked weed and everything else my University friends thought was so novel.

University was a bit of a yawn. I was glad to be out of it and earn some proper money for myself!

To some degree, yes. In my school you could choose not to take math and science in your fourth year. You could choose "regular" classes, which were a joke, or "AP" classes which had a similar workload to a typical college course. There were also electives that were more or less demanding.

Well I didn't mention everything.

We had lots of comp sci, but I knew ten times more about computers than the teacher did, so that was pretty pathetic. Had a couple of art classes - suffered through all of them. Bio and physics were both pretty cool, and I actually learned stuff from them, but they're an exception.
